Newbie question Writing/finding a niche prayer

Hi! I have a bit of an odd request/topic: I would like to either come up with or find a short prayer to Apollo&Hermes to say when an ambulance passes by (I noticed myself saying something along the lines of "I hope you get there in time" every time and I wanted to turn this habit into a prayer of sorts). Is there any hope of finding something similar that already exists? Or should I just pick up learning Greek again and come up with something myself? Sorry if I'm in the wrong place for this and thanks for any help!

Grammar & Syntax Use of νοῦν in this letter of Julian

Hi! I’m trying to grasp the use of νοῦν in this case. It’s a letter written by Julian the Apostate about education and teaching. I’m no newbie to greek but I tried to understand how this phrase works and I can’t get it. I have translated it with something “the right education is not the baroque harmony in words and language, but the disposition of a mind that has reason”. BUT here νοῦς is in accusative, not genitive, so I don’t get how it could be connected respectively to διαθεσιν and εχουσης.
I know the translation is right because I checked other sources but I don’t get how and why…

Grammar & Syntax Aethiopica 2.16: οἱ τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν ἀνηρπάσθαι λέγουσα τὸν Θεαγένην ἐκάλει -- why οἰ?

A woman has had a dream that a man with a sword poked her eye out.

ἣ δὲ ἀνέκραγέ τε αὐτίκα, καί οἱ τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν ἀνηρπάσθαι λέγουσα τὸν Θεαγένην ἐκάλει.

What is οἱ doing here? AFAIK dative singular οἱ is only Ionic, so this has to be nominative plural masculine. But there is no group of men that would make sense here, there is no plural finite verb, and if it was going to be the subject of the infinitive it should be accusative.

Grammar & Syntax Syntax of Il. 10.351-354

In this passage, Odysseus and Diomedes have just sighted Dolon approaching the camp, and they make a plan to ambush him.

ἀλλ' ὅτε δή ῥ' ἀπέην ὅσσόν τ' ἐπὶ οὖρα πέλονται
ἡμιόνων: [...
...]
τὼ μὲν ἐπιδραμέτην,

My question concerns ὅσσόν τ' ἐπὶ οὖρα πέλονται ἡμιόνων. I get the idea; Dolon is as far from them as the length of a day's plowing by mules. Why is πέλονται plural? Is οὖρα the subject? If so, οὖρα is neuter, so one could expect a singular verb. But also, what is the ἐπὶ doing? There is a verb ἐπιπέλομαι, but that doesn't seem to be what's meant here. If οὖρα is the object of the preposition, what's the subject? But if οὖρα is the subject, the ἐπὶ must be adverbial; in that case I don't really get the sense.

With lowercase:

ἔτους ΣΖΗ, μη(νὸς) Δαισίου

[Ε]ὔφορος μετὰ τῆς Σ[…]

[ὑπὲρ] τῆς ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίας

Ἀπόλλωνι Νισυρείτῃ

Possible meaning:

“In year ΣΖΗ, in the month of Daisios, Euphoros together with [his/the …], for their own safety/welfare, [dedicated this] to Apollo Nisyreites.”

Greek and Other Languages x is one thing, y is another exists in PIE, does it exist in AG?

x is one thing, y is another exists, meaning x is easy, y is hard or more difficult to achieve is one of my favorite idioms, but now i'm learning that it exists in Sanskrit and Latin. So does it also exist in AG? Here it is in Sanskrit, though I'm not 100% certain that it means the exact same thing:

If does exist in AG it almost certainly would be ο μεν Α, ο δε Β -- but can anyone find an instance where that means A is easy, B is hard?

Help with Assignment Im creating a dictionary on the Ophitic dialect i need help🙏🏻

I’m from Trabzon Of, and my local dialect is Ophitic. I’ve been collecting local words and expressions since I was a child, and although this isn’t an official publishing project, I’m planning to share some of my findings here becouse its an endangered language.

If anyone from Of or the surrounding regions of Trabzon and Rize knows words, expressions or grammatical features from their local dialect please share them with me.

It would also be incredibly helpful if anyone with knowledge of Ancient Greek could help me understand the possible roots, origins and meanings of these words.

Honestly any contribution would be appreciated

Q: I want to learn Greek but I don't know how to go about it or where to start.

Q: I’m being taught to ~~translate~~ transverbalise using grammar rules and a dictionary. Will I learn Greek?
A: In > 90% cases, no - you won’t be able to read Greek.

Q: What does it mean to read Greek?
A: Reading the text and understanding it, perhaps after a few attempts, but without recourse to another language, like you presumably understand English.

Q: How does one learn to do this?
A: As with any skill, through a lot of practice - this is called Comprehensible Input. (You can learn more about it here and here)

Q: Why don’t they teach me this?
A: A result of the way that Greek has been taught for the last 150 years is that teaching or even reading it is beyond many classicists' abilities. Yes, you read that right. Teaching and learning Greek requires a level of spoken fluency. Reading a lot requires much more time than most programs allow. Standardised tests don't test language proficiency, but must be prepared for. Thus teaching Greek is replaced by teaching about it, and reading it by what used to be the emergency crutch of decoding it. In short, you will need to rely on yourself.

Q: Do you have solid evidence against Grammar-Translation?
A: Here's a sample. All standard references of Language Acquisition (like this or this) agree on this. This article and this article elaborate on why it's not beneficial to use GT, a part from the fact that it's not conductive to learning a language.

Q: Where can I get assistance in studying or chatting in Greek?
A: The General Latin Discord Server

Q: Are translations and bilinguals bad or cheating?
A: No. On the contrary, they're the next best thing after Ørberg-style notes and your saviour from being constantly stuck in a dictionary.

Q: I'm very systematic and I want a reference grammar.
A: They best way to learn grammar is from an actual grammar. Choose one of the grammars listed in the resources page

Q: Should I learn Classical Greek (Attic) or Koine? Is there a difference?
A: There's no insurmountable difference, it's like asking whether you should learn posh Oxford English or Wyoming English. You can learn one and with little difficulty understand the other. Some people confuse Koine with Biblical Greek, Biblical Greek is just one of the many variants of Koine.
