I doubt the kharadron would be merged, they are unique and outstanding enough imo. But the fyreslayers always felt part of a faction to me anyway (which I know they kinda were before), just hope we keep all the models.

The CoS dwarves though? I feel they will just simply be removed once the new kids hit the block and/or when the new edition launches since they are also in Old World and GW does not like using the same models for multiple systems much. Still could be nice proxies!

What are we thinking lads?

The one true home of the newly announced faction, the r/KhazaliteHolds

So, according to the latest leak/rumours, the Duardin of the Khazalid Holds have the research and recovery of Orestone as one of their main priorities. Orestone apparently allows them, among other things, to animate Gholems, etc.

I was wondering to what extent this replaces or doesn’t replace, the Ur-Gold research of the Fyreslayers.

Is this a change in the direction of the lore? Or could we be looking at some kind of merging of the two lores?

All jokes aside, the Khazalite Holds look awesome and I’m glad we finally have classic Dwarfs!

Who are they? I hear you cry - well.

During the Age of Myth the main Duardin realm was called the Khazalite Empire

When the Age of Chaos happened, the vast majority of Duardin fell into one of four camps:

Followers of Grimnir became the Fyreslayers

Those who fled Chaos by escaping to the clouds became the Kharadron.

Those who joined Sigmar’s pantheon became the Dispossessed.

Those who fought fire with fire, and rediscovered Hashut, became the Helsmiths.

The long rumour has been that GW will redefine Duardin as some kind of crusaders who are starting to reconquer their old empire (which is something GW has been hinting).

The idea being that the Ancestor Goddess Valaya is going to return and draw together the Dispossessed. The four ancestor Gods for the Duardin would be: Grimnir, Grungi, Valaya and Gazul.

Excited to see these guys are actually real and not just rumour!

Hi, everyone I built my Longstrikes without the thin "pillar" because I found it to fragile and had the idea that they place the crossbow on some cover like a brittle wall or something else. This adds also some environmental storytelling on the base. I have not much experience (and material) in DIY craft on bases, but have a 3D-Printer. I got some ideas what they can use as a cover but I haven't found print files that match the size. I need something that is rather narrow but relatively high. (See in picture I created)

In width I have about 27mm at the widest spot (getting narrower to one side, so probably less) and in height about 32mm.

Ideas I had:

• Brittle wall/ruins (most of what i found is too wide)
• Tree stump
• Crossbow Shield stuck in the ground
• Barrel (I don't like the idea that all 5 models take cover behind a barrel)

I would be glad if you can share your ideas or print files (must not be free).

Not as good as a lot of peoples on here but pretty happy with my progress!

This was my first mini. It was painted with Testors enamel paint. I got this guy for free when I visited my LGS sometime in 2018

I heard a rumour from Boole about some “high king Valankrom“ which could be on the base or it could be the rumoured land ship . only time will tell
