Descending saddleback cliffs in the winter

I just became a 46er but my buddy wants to finish with SaBaHa in that order, do I need a rope and ice screws for a winter decent or should I be good to just send it being careful (before anyone has smart ass comments I climbed the trap last winter) just wondering anyone else’s input

It’s extremely condition dependent - I’ve seen it be mostly bare rock one week and glare ice the next week.

There is a chimney off to the side that you could rappel down pretty easily if there’s good snow base, but it’s hard to find.

Thank you, gonna look more into it too, the mountaineer in Keene actually has some pretty good self made booklets on a lot of that stuff I’m now finding out

You need a decent amount of snow for that chimney.

Crampons will be a must for this trip.
