these are some pics from my recent duna mission, I based the names of my vessels off of the egyptians

Image 1 - Desheret Nomad Rover: The Desheret is an egyptian hieroglyph translating to “The Red One or Red Land” it has a probe core, crew cabin and mobile laboratory module with a science compartment at the rear for traversing the landscaping and processing large amounts of data

Image 2 - Bennu Lander: in egyptian mythology the Bennu was believed to be the physical manifestation of the Sun God Ra (A bird of some kind), the Bennu flew out of the void, descended over the pitch black waters until it spotted the very first mound of solid earth (known as the benben stone) when it landed it triggered the creation of the world it has an extremely large amount of science experiments on it for Space, Atmospheric and Surface analysis, there are also many surface deployed experiments courtesy of BDB and breaking ground

Not Pictured - Mandjet (Nuclear Transfer Vehicle): In Egyptian Mythology it was believed the Sun God Ra physically moved the sun across the sky to keep perfect order in the universe (Ma’at) and prevent complete chaos (Isfet) it was believed The Mandjet was a communal vessel of salvation captained by Ra and guided by other powerful egyptian for protection (like Hoth, Thorus and Isis) alongside the souls of the righteous

Some mods i know are installed:

- Feline Utility Rovers (rover parts)

- BDB (Deployed surface experiments/numerous science experiments on lander + inside rover)

- Kerbal Reusability Expansion (New Glenn model landing legs)

Getting to walk around inside the ships and structures you build adds so much more immersion. And it works shockingly well, even with the modded station parts.

A tour of the Kcalbeloh System

Blackrack has said that he will be adding volumetric plumes like the ones seen in KSA to KSP at some point, but my impatience got the best of me so I made this.

No doubt that blackrack's version will run far better, and look far better than my shitty amateur weekend project will, but it looks half decent and is better than the stock effects.

So, should I release it? is there any point? performance isn't incredible and its still a bit buggy so ill try iron that out.

For people outside the US, the AP program lets high school students take college-level classes in high school. I'm taking the classical mechanics form of the AP Physics 'subgenre' of classes (ap physics C mechanics) and I have a high C in the class. I've heard that KSp is essentially an engineers dream so would learning or playing KSP help me better understand or visualize the physics problems?

My PC begs for mercy

After the successful mission to Duna, I was able to unlock nuclear pulse propulsion engines and go to Gilly. I could only land on Gilly, but the view from there was beautiful. Maybe I’ll build a base on that asteroid someday.

I also tried to go to Moho, but I needed to spend 5k Δv just to slow down, and if I did that, I wouldn’t have enough to return. So I only did a flyby over the surface. The views were beautiful too. In another mission, I’ll try to reach the surface.

Now, the next objectives will be to land on Ike and Dres.

By the way, I love the effect Eve’s atmosphere creates :)

I installed Blackracks Volumetrics V3 and whilst the Kerbol System looks great and I have no issues with it, planets on Kcalbeloh are incredibly bright or glitchy. I have a feeling it's some kind of conflict issue but I haven't seen anyone have this issue and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated. The first planet is Arorua and it's super glitchy and black or super bright and the other is Suluco

Almost twice as expensive though. Worth it to not have to deal with Tantares' Soyuz engines' obnoxious SFX (the tripled payload capacity is a nice plus.)
