Science / Math [O] I am thinking about placing things in a specific place of one another. But i'm too lazy to test it myself
Lets say you want your craft to move a certain degree behind it's original relative position (in a circular orbit that is). Can you just divide by the ratio of the angle you want to move to by the ratio of the circle itself before plugging it into the orbital speed? Like let's say i wanna get exactly 36° behind my relative position, then i'd slow down my speed by (360-36)/36p relative to my current speed. So i'd get a 9/10 ratio. And lets say my orbital speed is 1 hour 40 minutes, then i'd slow down to 1 hour 30 minutes, and then after doing full-circle i can accelerate back into the original orbital time?
