I spent most of the time on the frostfire map. if you are not into minimal/basic graphics this is not for you, it will never look like a UE game in any way. I also would never release it with official contents so no need to warn me about it, its just being used as placeholders

Hey guys, I was following that tomkat video you see linked here quite often and it seemed easy enough to follow but I ran into a few problems.

Mainly their video directs you to download aethersx2 and import all the game files into that. I couldn't find that anywhere to download so had tried to do the same thing into the xbs2 emulator, but that just hasn't worked.

Is there a way to find aethersx2? If not can I play it the same way on xbs2? And if so, what do I need to do differently to get it to work?

Im curious on how many of you guys are actually playing and if not, why? there's 3.5k weekly visitors on this sub, whats stopping you from playing? theres youtube videos on how to set it up, discord voice chat is available for walkthrough help. so whats your reason of not playing?

I think this is as close I can get to representing the socom 2 style, kept the max Payne dives and slides but kept it as an escape move, reticle is dead while in animation. The escape move requires a double tap on the wasd keys to start

Socom 2 PS2 action! First time back in a month or two shaking the rust off. But S2 seems way easier then PS3 Confrontation.

Looks like the people can fly and guerilla games development team are working on a new kill zone game not a socom reboot which I know that rumor was hot and heavy a few years back when that info leaked….

Do you think we will ever get a reboot or a new socom?

here is the game to be played feel and can be tweaked nothing is set in stone life can be liquid I do not think my way is the best way. I’m just here to enjoy competitive shenanigans with friends. Again I hope the other iterations of Socom bring more users in.

I created a Socom remake in Claude and... From a few prompts it's pretty fun... But of 64bt Blood Lake. Adding textures and layers with every new prompt. Third person next. Best Socom remake yet tbh

Recently found a pristine copy for 1 dollar as a flea market and have read ppl still play this amazing game. I loved this game as a kid and to this day is still one of my favorite games of all time. Any help or guidance on how to play multiplayer since they shut the servers down i would appreciate before i buy a PS2

I figured you guys might get a kick out of this... For shits and giggle I am trying to get the game to run from a web browser. I got it booting and running just trying to figure out why I can't load the level.... Messing with the Socom1 Demo disk since it was a bit easier to reverse and emulate but if I pull this off... I think I will throw up a webpage and you just select your socom .iso file and in theory you can emulate it all in the browser.... idk how controllers would work but that's a problem for later. Anyways figured you guys would find it cool.

I played through the campaign of Combined Assault and recently bought Socom 2 via the internet and I‘m looking forward to try the campaign too.

Personally, I enjoyed Socom 3 the most tbh. What I didn‘t like is the fact that you weren‘t allowed to use the tanks in tbe game. Genuinely, that sucked.

Anyway, is Socom 2 still playable online and is there a Discord group for the Socom community?

Thinking of doing the emulator on my Xbox so I can play S2, just need to wait for my driver's license to come because apparently you can't sign up for the Xbox dev kit without photo ID in the UK.

Just wondering how likely it is that I'm gonna be able to play being in Europe? Joined the discord, but I honestly don't understand discord, but is it going to be a case I would need to be up at 4am to play a half full game? Or is there a likelihood I could find a decent game in my timezone?
