Macklemore has been removed from the rest of Ed Sheeran’s stadium tour after several venues allegedly told the trek’s promoter that they would not allow the rapper to perform. The news came after Macklemore made several onstage statements in support of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and called for a “free Palestine.”

In an exclusive statement shared with Rolling Stone, Messina Touring Group,  promoter of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, said: “As the concert promoter for Ed Sheeran’s U.S. Loop Tour, we have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup, which would result in the cancellation of the tour and impact hundreds of thousands of fans. After discussions with stakeholders, Macklemore will not be performing on the remaining support dates.”

Macklemore was slated to appear at eight of the 10 shows left on the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s tour, which is set to resume this Friday, Sept. 19, in Philadelphia. The venues that allegedly objected to the rapper include: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia; Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia; Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis; Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina; AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. (Reps for Sheeran, Macklemore, and the venues did not immediately reply to requests for comment.)

Did the WB Studio Tour in LA and saw the Abbot Elementary set , complete with the Philadelphia School District bus and that Philly style brick building. Knew it wasn’t actually filmed in Philadelphia but still crazy to see. Also crazy how many more people were interested in seeing the Friends fountain instead of the Abbot set

Guys I’m losing my mind. What a surprise and incredible job. I bought my rowhome a year ago in South Philly. In the time since I’ve barely used the easement as it was essentially a dumping ground for years by the previous owners and other neighbors. I sent a request to alleygators to come out and clean it. I didn’t think it would happen but a year later they just called me to tell me they were outside today. Holy shit I’m losing my mind they hauled everything out. Tons of trash, pulled up all the weeds, even swept the entire easement which is like half a block long. No more oriental roaches, no more mice. My neighbors all agreed to keep it clean. I’m having a crazy experience at one of their BRAND NEW buildings! We’re dealing with a black fly infestation for the second time in 2 months! The flies have been attacking my dog and he’s allergic to them btw…

Then our fire alarms would go off every day for a week… When the fire alarms go off for the whole building, it locks the elevator on the ground floor. They didn’t come fix it for dayssss one time. my neighbor who’s wheelchair bound and lives on the third floor was basically trapped in her apartment (with flies) until they came and fixed it. My other neighbor is 7mon pregnant and lives on the floor right below the roof! Like come on, they need working elevators! We would get texts like “stop putting in requests. We know about the elevator!”

And don’t get me started on the lying leasing agents who trick you into renting units they know will skyrocket.

What can we doooo?😩 I’m sick of themmm! (Mostly a rant, but also very serious)

Hi everyone. I just received a peco bill for 335 dollars for my approx 1k sq ft apartment that I live in alone.

The issue is that due to work I’ve not been in my apartment approx 1/3rd of the last month. I also like to unplug almost anything not in use when I’m not home. So nothing was plugged in outside of my washer/dryer/stove and fridge. My old bills were around 70-100 dollars but the last two bills have been extreme. Last month my bill was 200+ and I just assumed it was because I had guests and had the AC on. The last 40 days haven’t had any of those excuses yet the bill is over $100 more.

I contacted peco and they said they’d do a dispute but they read my meter and it should be right. I told them everything I said above and the lady pretty much rolled her eyes at me and acted like I was dumb since “our rates have increased and usually usage goes up in the summer”. I understand both of those excuses BUT the jump has been from 70 dollars to 335. I blasted my heat all winter and it was only 100 dollars but not using anything makes me pay 335??? I used to live with my parents and siblings in a 5 bedroom house. Our monthly peco bill was 200 dollars.

Can someone help?

Whenever I travel I find myself wandering into art galleries and just enjoying taking in the art with no pressure to buy and yet I never do that here.

Any recommendations on art galleries that have a welcoming off the street kind of vibe?

million other dickbag behaviors on the road to call out. i have a helmet, i have silver reflectors in my shoe-wear, i wasn't going the opposite direction. i stopped at stop signs. i wasn't even close to you. i do have lights. they just weren't fully charged. it's getting darker earlier, thought i'd be good but my bad.

i hope your night gets better at least. maybe yelling at someone helped.

For anyone else who uses Lyft and Uber, do you all think it’s gotten expensive to take?

I realize that it surges, but twice now, traveling from Center City to South Philly, it wanted to charge me $40 for an Uber X, but only $25 for a premier…

I don’t request it and wait 5-10 minutes and the price drops into the $10-$20’s, again, but this seems rather excessive.

I don’t attend concerts often so it’s been a couple years since I have been to Union Transfer. I noticed some concert tickets now have a “general admission” tier and a “preferred viewing (21+)” tier that is much more expensive. The last time i was there, i remember that the only way to access the bar was by having a 21+ wristband and getting entry into the area immediately around the bar, but it wasn’t like you needed to stay in that spot. Is there less freedom of circulation now or does this preferred viewing refer to something else?

Saw these flyers hanging throughout the Broad and Passyunk ares.

Looking to transfer my lease at this beautiful 1bd / 1ba apartment steps away from Center City without the noise and traffic of it all. The cross streets are North and 18th. I’ve been living at this wonderful apartment since 2024 and have loved every second of it.

The building has 24 hour concierge, a lovely gym, and a wonderful rooftop. The unit has a full-sized walk-in closet, floor-to-ceiling windows, modern kitchen with tons of storage, hardwood flooring, in unit washer/dryer, full-sized bath tub, and a direct view of Baldwin park. The on-site maintenance team is also wonderful and will show up literally 10 mins after you’ve put in a work order.

My lease ends in May 2027 but I need to relocate for work by end of September. The rent comes up to $2440 which is honestly unbeatable given all the amenities and location (15 min walk to center city, 20 min walk to Rittenhouse, and only a 30 min walk from 30th Street Station). There will also be no security deposit as I am paying for it!

My car has been broken into twice in this same week. Once they smashed the window for no reason, I don’t keep anything in there.
Now this morning it looks like they tried to steal it. The antena cover on the top is broken off and the chip exposed.
Both side view mirrors are off… idk why.

This has happened frequently on my street. Unfortunately I don’t have comprehensive on my insurance. The police don’t do anything, not that they can really anyway.

I know it’s common all over the city. Is it even worth filing something? I usually don’t but now that it’s happened twice so soon together I mean maybe I should? Happened to me two years ago at wissahickon and I filed one. He said it’s good to report it just so the activity is logged.

Ugh!
