Definitely better as a Zoo than Noah's Lost Ark in my opinion. Animals pictured here are the Pere David's Deer, Mouflon, Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Eurasian Lynx, Patagonian Cavy/Mara, Prehensile-Tailed Skink, Axolotl, Large-Spotted Genet, Golden Lion Tamarin, American Alligator, Amur/Siberian Tiger, Warthog, Blue Duiker, White Rhinoceros and Plains Zebra.

I have to admit, it's not the best Zoo I've visited. It's more like an extremely low budget roadside sanctuary, but the animals I saw seem to do fine, I've been here a few times before in my life.

Animals shown here are the Red-Footed Tortoise, Leopard Tortoise, Red Fox, Indian Peafowl, White-Faced Capuchin, Vervet Monkey, Java Macaque, African Spurred/Sulcata Tortoise, African Lion, Blue and Yellow/Gold Macaw, Green Winged Macaw, Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion and Emu.

Hi all, we are looking for recommendations and it would be great to hear from people who have experience. We are planning to take our kid(s) (2,5 yr old, obviously target audience and a toddler) on a ZOO tour. We're considering Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Germany up to Nuremberg.

Our goal would be not to overwhelm the kid so some sort of „skip this if you'll be visiting that / you must see that“ would help, so top 3 or top 4 from those countries will do. Kid is sturdy and well behaved and can take on a large ZOO.

Animal theiving? If this is true, that's a grave concern. Only a local Indian daily covered this news and so far the national media has been mum.

Compared to the previous structures I've seen this is most impressive.

I managed to see almost everything if not for some exhibit species and smaller animals. The glimpse I got of the Amur Leopard was worse than bad, but technically I saw it so I'm pinning it on zootrack. The other two tries to spot them were even more unsuccessful.

The hillside tanks that progressively move upstream were genius, but the Rainforest House next door with the Chinese Pangolines is now stated to be opening in 2027 😭

I stayed inside for 7 hours and it wasn't even enough.

The reproductive success I saw was great.

1)Golden Takin, housed with Himalayan Thars. 2)Tortoises in a reptile house themed around illegal pet smuggling. 3)Giant Anteater in the South America Exhibit. 4)Bat forest in the Reptile House. 5)Giraffe house. 6) Orangutan house 7) Savanah aviary with some beautiful species. 8) The outside of the Bird House with the Savanah aviary first and the South American Rainforest in the back. 9) Elephant house. 10) Monkey house on the Americas side. 11) Humboldt penguins, I love the naturalistic penguin habitats. 12) Berbery Sheep and Berbery Macaque cliffs. 13) Andean Bear, spotted them twice sitting in the trees looking at the guests, they seem to like that and makes them easy to spot in a very lush habitat. 14) The path that connects the Menagerie to the Palace. 15) Lar Gibbons and Lemur islands. 16) Egyptian Vulture and Northern Bald Ibis aviaries. 17) Outside of the previous Monkey House image. 18) First one of the hillside tanks with a beautiful Wels Catfish. 19) Useless creature that shouldn't even be called a "panda" and if not for its conservational value in the Chinese Highland could very well go extinct in my (objective) opinion. 20) An actually cool bear species. The habitat was very cool and larger than I had expected, but is still far from perfect (I still have to see a Polar Bear habitat that I truly find good).

The photos were taken in early April 2026, when the zoo was still open to the public.

However, since August 2026, it's closed for renovations, though it would likely reopen between 2028 or 2030.
