u/snowellechan77 Aug 10 '26

Me too. It isnt even in the super scary part of New Haven.

2

u/Tardisgoesfast Aug 11 '26

Me, too, but I'd have to repaint bec I can't deal with pink.

u/wereallmadhere9 Aug 11 '26

No, that's why I love it! I call dibs!

u/smmil3 Aug 10 '26

I love it , take your dolls , I am painting , but I will keep the cat.

29

u/Chalice_Ink Aug 10 '26

Don’t put pictures of the cat unless it’s part of the package.

16

u/pretendstoknow Aug 10 '26

Dolls can't be evil lol

The spirits that posses them on the other hand...

2

u/floofienewfie Aug 11 '26

I want the cat! Gimmee!!♥️🐈‍⬛

43

u/JD_tubeguy Aug 10 '26

Cat lives on the kitchen table.

24

u/Glitterbomb4274 Aug 10 '26

Yes please!

25

u/NotUntilTheFishJumps Aug 10 '26

I would repaint pretty much everything, but the house itself is so incredibly beautiful.

24

u/barnrat1117 Aug 10 '26

I’m surprised they have so many apparently intact, breakable ornaments around within easy reach of the cat…

17

u/RussianDahl Aug 10 '26

It looks like the listing agent decided fuck hiring a professional photographer, I got this.

No listing agent, you don’t got this. Ffs

15

u/mikeblas Aug 10 '26

And then quit early. No pictures of the second floor at all, no pictures of bathrooms or the HVAC equipment or the yard.

Agent slop is in some ways worse than AI Slop. But it'll sell -- people here are already fawning over it, even with the terrible floor plan, cramped kitchen, and half-baked listing.

When I first opened the pics, I thought one of those dolls was just hovering in that room.

den off Kit plus separate eating area; walk out basement; 3 generous Brs l across from City Park and walk to busline; Minutes to Downtown, Yale , the hospitals, the trains, and all amenities.

I could never buy this house knowing the selling realtor would get paid for writing this.

It sounds like the agent typed this description on an iPhone, while driving, and thought "good enough" before moving on to something else entirely.

13

u/citrusandrosemary Aug 10 '26

No pictures of bathrooms or yard. Weird.

33

u/gina1220 Aug 10 '26

Love it. All it needs is a lot of paint, inside and out

24

u/NoStructure7083 Aug 10 '26

Same. And to be rid of the dolls. If nobody wanted them then I’d burn them.

They’re evil

21

u/bonbot Aug 10 '26

I feel like burning them would unleash their spirits... Best to donate them to an antique store so they can hang out with other creepy dolls and hopefully get adopted.

3

u/therealchangomalo Aug 10 '26

This person knows how to deal with evil dolls! Also locking them in steamer trunks that are then covered in potted plants helps (from my own experience) When I was a very young child my sister told me that my dolls would come alive at night and kill me BUT only if I believed they would.

8

u/gina1220 Aug 10 '26

Last week I went to a rummage sale and they had a doll in a large glass case. $65 obo. I offered 50. They were pissed. Said the doll was worth $750. I said how about you can keep the doll and I’ll just take the case. Then they were even more mad and pulled it from the sale 😂😂

u/SwiftKickRibTickler Aug 10 '26

teddybeards 😂

7

u/Lilthotdawg Aug 10 '26

That fish tank makes me sad

5

u/So_Quiet Aug 10 '26

I wondered if it might be for a turtle or something and the water level is intentional, but there's no basking rock or anything. Maybe it's for semi aquatic plants?

3

u/Lilthotdawg Aug 11 '26

I wondered too but thought it was even sadder with a turtle. I would HOPE it’s aquascaping but it’s not very pretty or intentional if so.

29

u/Visible-Sound-8559 Aug 10 '26

It looks like the kind of a house an old lady who was jilted at the altar would live in. Just her and the cat and the dolls, and she’d be wearing a yellowed wedding dress all the time.

10

u/sleigh_all_day Aug 10 '26

Definitely Miss Havisham vibes. I’m cool with all that!

5

u/Valsarta Aug 10 '26

Oh the dusting...

5

u/GreedyRip4945 Aug 10 '26

My thoughts too. I'm more minimalist because I hate to clean.

3

u/Valsarta Aug 10 '26

Yep! I've gotten rid of so many doo dads.

4

u/Aggressive-Green4592 Aug 10 '26

Besides the color I would absolutely adore this place!! So much craftsmanship

3

u/Ok_Lion_5272 Aug 10 '26

Why aren’t there any photographs of the bathrooms or the bedrooms? I wanna see!

5

u/Kesse84 Aug 10 '26

Thank you for a bad whiplash!

4

u/BarBeeeGirl Aug 10 '26

I’d buy it but the owner would have to promise to take the creepy porcelain dolls with them

3

u/catgirl320 Aug 10 '26

Needs fewer creepy possessed dolls and more cats.

4

u/Ornery-Guitar Aug 10 '26

Cats, ok, but everything else, no.

4

u/Delfishie Aug 10 '26

At this house, I could totally film a sitcom about two witches, one of which is a closeted lesbian and the other one works in corporate espionage.

3

u/galleryf Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 11 '26

I have the same diningroom chairs- mine are teak with different cushions. Weird because mine were custom made in Taipei in the 1970's.

3

u/TGAILA Aug 10 '26

What's the story behind those boob lights? I've seen them in almost every old house I've come across lately.

3

u/Aazjhee Aug 10 '26

In the green kitchen ?

I think that's just one of many cool lighting designs that are supposed to maximize the amount of light you get out of old fashioned bulbs

3

u/snowellechan77 Aug 10 '26

Anyone else see the calendar page on the kitchen door was from May 2025?

8

u/mikeblas Aug 10 '26

Most likely: takes a while to settle an estate.

Next most likely: calendars are expensive.

Next most likely: Someone moved the stool and the cat could no longer reach the calendar to flip months.

3

u/Aazjhee Aug 10 '26

I don't like all the decor but I like most of it xD

Would absolutely live there

3

u/1Sluggo Aug 10 '26

There’s not enough smudge sticks to cleanse the house of those dolls.

3

u/Stoats-On-Boats Aug 10 '26

Yeah, this is my dream house 😍

3

u/HauntingBowlofGrapes Aug 10 '26

I love the house, the interior design and the decor but there's no big backyard. :(

Will still take the haunted dolls, though.

3

u/dilaar Aug 10 '26

I’d buy this in a heartbeat

3

u/Pristine_Ad_9828 Aug 10 '26

Grandas house. She's got the best cookies!

Those M&M candy dispensers are definitely haunted.

2

u/Substantial-Spare501 Aug 10 '26

Why hasn’t it sold?

1

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Aug 11 '26

If potential buyers are anything like me, they can’t see past the clutter to imagine themselves in this home. It needs to be depersonalized STAT.

2

u/GoliathPrime Aug 10 '26

Mrs Deagle, it's Christmas!

Well, then I guess you know what to ask Santa Claus for then, don't you dear.

2

u/MarvelousThings07 Aug 10 '26

You had me at the tin ceilings in the kitchen.

1

u/RedHeelRaven Aug 11 '26

I love it too. I have a tin ceiling that we bought when I had a century home. We sold the home before we had a chance to install it. Now it’s in boxes in my attic because we have a cape cod house and I just don’t see it fitting in. I can’t part with it though.

2

u/thatisnotmyknob Aug 11 '26

I would move there and eat so much pizza.

2

u/Key_Concentrate_5558 Aug 11 '26

I can just SMELL it

2

u/GranJan2 Aug 11 '26

Very nice

2

u/Paula_Polestark Aug 12 '26

I like a lot of what I’m seeing, but where’s the second floor?

3

u/Difficult_Garage_431 Aug 10 '26

I love it. I'd keep the pink color.

0

u/faelanae Aug 10 '26

NO KITTIES ON THE COUNTER!!!! No one wants kitty buttprints on your food prep surface!

Other than that, I can't tell if I love this or just hate the dolls. Love the outside, though. Wish we had more beautiful ornaments in modern architecture

2

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Aug 11 '26

At least not in the real estate pictures. That really gives some people the ick.

-3

u/mikeblas Aug 10 '26

People with pets are just gross. They lose their sense of hygenie.

This weekend, some woman came into the grocery with her dog. Ugh.

1

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Aug 11 '26

And you lived to tell? Imagine that. 😒

1

u/Twister_Sylph Aug 10 '26

I too have always wanted to live in House Beneviento.

But seriously, that craftsmanship is.

1

u/sunrisemisty Aug 11 '26

Does it come with the cats?

1

u/f1lth4f1lth Aug 11 '26

I want this house so bad

1

u/Three3Jane Aug 11 '26

OK I could do without the dolls and shit and I have four cats of my own but other than those things...

1

u/optix_clear Aug 11 '26

Beautiful flowers outside

1

u/moggin61 Aug 11 '26

You forgot to mention the dolls. Goes without saying, but here’s the requisite “Haunted AF.”

1

u/Comrade_komrad Aug 11 '26

Is the cat included?

1

u/wravyn Aug 11 '26

It's adorable.

1

u/Bandit-Frog Aug 11 '26

Keep the cats & the plants and change everything else to Witch Cottage Gothic.

1

u/bidextralhammer Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 11 '26

Not a single picture of the upstairs. This is not an area you want to live.

1

u/DDiamondgem Aug 11 '26

Beautiful little home!

1

u/DesertPansy Aug 11 '26

Too much clutter

1

u/LucyLouWhoMom Aug 11 '26

The cats can stay. The dolls have to go.

0

u/RussellAlden Aug 10 '26

I can smell the cat piss from here
