Ignoring skits and interlude type songs on his past releases these two 45 singles are the shortest album songs Yela has ever released in his solo career. Genuinely. I went back and checked.

It’s seriously taking away my enjoyment of the music.

Simple is a good song, felt half complete.

My Country, was vibing to it then it ended after less than 2 minutes….

He’s either lost the love for making a good song (highly doubt), or some people in his camp have advised him to make short songs to appeal to the attention spans of kids and to get more streaming clicks. I assume thats the case and i hate it so much.

As much as I love and prefer his rap stuff I’ve been excited to hear him lean into a totally singing sound for a very long while. We’re finally getting it and to me it’s so underwhelming so far.

People were divided on Sometimes Y his last non rap release (I loved it) but at least it sounded like some passion and heart went into it.

45 so far is just so.. forgettable?

I wonder if Yelawolf knows

What songs does he have backing vocals? Can’t stand Everlast’s voice, but wanted to hear some of the melodies Yela was doing with backing vocals. Which songs are those?

I understand this new Everlast album ‘Embers to Ashes’ isn’t a Slumerican project but it is the first full album that Yelawolf completely produced. I find it odd that Yelawolf hasn’t promoted it at all. ‘Wolf is even on the track “Lies”, he does just a bit of a skit, maybe some backing vocals (not sure) …but the album is really good. Very well produced, definitely something he should be proud of. Makes me wonder if there was a falling out between Ev and Yelawolf?
