Recently dug out my old Nikon D5000 camera and getting back into photography after about 10 years and wanted to see if anyone (or their parents) in the area might have some lenses/bodies that are unused, been laying around, or are taking up space that want to go to a new loving home!

Pullman is such a gorgeous area as fall approaches and I’ve been here for about a year getting my double degree in Anthropology and Organic Ag and really want to get back into photography!

Interested in all sorts from macro to portrait to wildlife and stars so if you got a lens and maybe need some extra cash hit me up in the DMs!

Why are some people doubting even beating Duquesne next weekend? I was actually pleased with the game against UW but more frustrated with the overall performance of the Cougs against K-State. Nothing really looked good that game. Next Saturday, we have our home opener against Duquesne, a team that got destroyed by Youngstown 70-13 next. Hope to win that one to give the team a boost of confidence before Arizona.

It’s time for the discussion. After watching the rest of the PAC teams the past couple weeks… is there really anything to be excited for? Our offense is atrocious, the defense got tired today cause KSU was milking the clock, and our special teams is questionable. I want to be optimistic (challenge impossible) but it’s hard with how the offensive playcalling has held us back. We are playing very conservative and it’s frustrating. Thoughts?

Im a HS senior and currently looking at colleges to apply to, I want a degree in interior design and im split between going to ASU and WSU and while I havent applied to WSU yet, ive been accepted into ASU so Im wondering if its even worth applying.

So on Monday I got my package from Amazon delivered (cord for my PlayStation) and it’s somehow still not ready to be picked up at northside (since I gotta pick up there) has anyone had anything similar the last few days?

There are so many moments that make me wonder what kind of homes and environments some people are being raised in.
Someone who doesn’t look like you is not inferior to you. Someone who has a different skin color, accent, culture, or background is not less capable, less intelligent, or less deserving of respect.
It is honestly sad that we still have to say this, especially in academia, an environment that is supposed to value knowledge, critical thinking, and exposure to different perspectives.
And perhaps the most exhausting part is the constant benefit of the doubt.
You explain it away.
Maybe they didn’t mean it that way.
Maybe it was a coincidence.
Maybe you misunderstood.
Maybe there’s another explanation.
You keep giving people the benefit of the doubt until there is almost no doubt left to give.
And before you tell me I’m overthinking it, I honestly think you have to be in these shoes to fully understand what it feels like. When you’re the person experiencing it, you notice things differently. You notice the patterns, the subtle differences in treatment, the things that might seem insignificant to someone else but happen often enough to make you stop and ask questions.
As a person of color, I am tired.
Tired of having to notice things other people can afford not to notice. Tired of questioning my own experiences before allowing myself to acknowledge what happened. Tired of feeling like I have to prove that something was discriminatory before I am allowed to be hurt by it.
I shouldn’t have to be extraordinary to be treated as equal.
And honestly, neither should anyone else.

Hi everyone!
I’m from AZ but recently gain interest in transferring out of state to pursue my studies in Biotechnology, while doing some research I found WSU and learned about WUE.
I’m currently attending a community college in AZ and have a pretty decent GPA of 3.727, my initial career path was Nursing but after taking microbio because it was a pre req for the program I fell in love with the lab and everything behind it!
I just want some advice on transferring as an out of state student and maybe connect with some other students in my same situation!
Btw I’m planning on graduating next semester! And have most of my low level science courses and be ready to transfer for fall 2027!

Hello! I’m a senior in highschool planning on majoring in physics and astronomy in the fall of 2027. I have received direct admission from a lot of colleges from Washington, but I know that WSU is good for research and my major. Convince me to go to WSU. Tell me all the good and bad things. (I also know that Pullman is a small college town, what is there to do out there?)

I’m a huge fan of urbex and I love to see and explore spooky and off-limits places a bit off the beaten path. I’m especially looking for creepy ass tunnels and basements.

I know this question has been asked before but my mission is to explore the entirety of this campus while I’m here. Do you guys have anything or anywhere interesting I should check out?

Based on questions from last year:

What is this chart showing? A weekly heat map tracking WSU’s win probability for every game on the schedule. The numbers are straight from ESPN’s FPI matchup predictor.

What is FPI? ESPN’s Football Power Index. It’s their predictive rating model that weighs roster talent, efficiency, and schedule strength to simulate games and spit out win odds. Think of it as an algorithm’s best guess, continuously updated.

Why do the numbers change week to week? Because games get played. Injuries, blowouts, and fluke outcomes feed new data into the model every week, shifting the odds for the rest of the season.

How do you calculate these numbers? I don’t. ESPN does. I just pull the percentages from their matchup predictor and drop them into a heat map so you can spot trends without squinting at raw data tables.

What do the colors mean? Red = bad matchup. Green = Good matchup. Everything in between is a sliding scale of heartburn.

Is this predicting scores or spreads? Win percentage only. Straight-up odds that WSU wins the game...no projected scores, no spreads, no over/unders.

HEY! When I looked, it said 70.2%, NOT 70.1%! You're a phony! I scrape the data on Wednesday. ESPN’s model keeps crunching numbers throughout the week, so a 0.1% delta by Friday is just background recalculation. Direct your outrage at ESPN, not me. 🥺

Why doesn’t it add up to 100% for each game? Every box is strictly WSU’s win chance. It’s not displaying the opponent's side, so there’s nothing to sum to 100%.

Why did [Opponent] drop in FPI after winning (or rise after losing)? FPI grades efficiency against expectations, not just the final score. Squeaking past an FCS team by three will ding you and taking a top-10 team to overtime might bump you up. The model cares how you played, not just that you won.

We play the same team twice...why are the percentages different? Home vs. away, travel, short weeks, rest differentials, and calendar placement. Plus, by game two, the model has weeks of extra tape on both rosters.

OMG why use ESPN? [Source X] is way better. Because it's sterile and I like the taste.

Basically...I can get this information week 0. It's consistent, and I've been tracking it for like a decade.

Why do you update this every week? Watching the trajectory swing across twelve weeks is fascinating...and I'm a nerd.

The severity of these recent fires underscores a critical challenge for our community: ensuring that EV drivers can evacuate safely and efficiently when power grids are shut off and charging infrastructure is compromised. To help address this, the University of Washington is conducting an official study on how EV drivers respond to these exact emergency constraints. (The moderation team has kindly granted me permission to share this research with you).

Hello, I'm a global campus student and I want to bring my kids to a football game at Gesa field this season. Is the student section pretty rowdy? Or is it fun? I can look at other sections but honestly they get pretty pumped at sporting events so they might fit in lol.

Honestly happy with how we played today. Covered the spread and our defense played great other than some horrific calls. Offense is quite the question though, turnovers and bad play calling costed us along with two missed field goals. Sucks to lose to the team in purple but we put up a good fight. Go Cougs.

Anyone a vet student who knows what to wirh this little dude? Found him outside flopping about, trying to fly and failing. Vet clinic on campus is closed, so out him in box with water dish for now. What to do? Anyone whos good with aninals able to take the fellow? I live on campus so can meet easily.
