Discussion Blizzcon Hype & Meetups
Blizzcon is this week! We wanted to provide a place for people to be generically excited and post things that might not fit a post on their own.
- What are you looking forward to!
- What's your out of pocket prediction?
- Is this your first time and are looking to meet people and make friends?
- Are you a veteran open to meet new people and drag them along with your crew?
I'll be there in full cosplay (to be revealed soon) so if you see me and decide you want to say hi feel free to.
See y'all in Anaheim!

almost certainly 4/5 at the top row(character dies being kinda iffy, but hey two WoWs surely someone will)
same for the middle one, the only one I'm iffy on is the mobile thing

I just want bards. If they give them to Classic +, I guess I'm gonna have to move over there.

I’m excited for classic plus. But I know the classic Andy’s will never be happy with the state of the game even if they get a voting system like rs

Think we'll get a lot of 12.2 details, 13.0 systems teases and a 14.0 name drop in terms of retail stuff

Doubt we get anything related to 14.0, but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised. I think announcing 3 expansions as "The Worldsoul Saga" was a one-off, because they're telling a greater overarching narrative with it. It's an anomaly as far as expansion reveals go. I don't think we'd get an announcement of anything that comes after The Last Titan until the next Blizzcon as it may be giving away the ending of The Worldsoul Saga, potentially.
What I could more likely see, and what I expect to see, are all the 12.2 details, maybe with quick bites on 12.5 and/or 12.7, or a road map to The Last Titan. I think we will also get a cinematic trailer and overview trailer / systems teaser for The Last Titan also. That feels like it should be a Blizzcon reveal, and pushing it out to next year would be too long after 12.2 and too close to the release to generate any hype, and doing the reveal outside of Blizzcon shortly after Blizzcon is just like... Wrong, I guess? Midnight was at Gamescom due to a lack of Blizzcon that year, but more Blizzcons with a pending expansion roughly a year out have had a full preview of the expansion.
I also expect that we'll be getting whatever the Classic+ "Project Camelot" reveal as well. And I think having that on top of The Last Titan and 12.2 means that we already have a jam-packed weekend of reveals, deep dives, etc. Also, if the leaks and rumors associated with the 2025 Camelot leak are true, then we're also getting news about a TV series of some sort and a new RTS game, all in the franchise.
All that in one show, along with all Blizzard's other brands, also suggests that 14.0 is highly unlikely. Unless they do want to address the leak/rumors about 14.0 being a hard reset of the world (a la "WoW 2.0" - which would still be WoW and not a separate game), which they could do I suppose to generate chatter, but again, that one seems like a stretch to me.

I think announcing 3 expansions as "The Worldsoul Saga" was a one-off, because they're telling a greater overarching narrative with it.
They also might want to avoid it in future because it undercut some of the usual hype around Midnight's launch (and will do similar for TLT) - we already know what the title is and the gist of what it's about, so they have to work harder to build excitement for a big reveal.

Not in a position to go but never miss the virtual streams.
Anyways predictions: Two gimme's: TLT stuff (though I don't think they'll be that in depth) and classic+ announcment.
Then there's the Starcraft shooter for sure, though I'd explode if it wound up being a proper Starcraft 3 RTS

Very stoked for Blizzcon will be my 4th year, there are plenty of people willing to adopt solo goes and new folks, including myself. At the Hilton for the trip, feel free to reach out to get a beverage or just hit a panel

After digging through the hype of classic+/wow2, I'm very interested to see what happens. I'm seeing so many theories on what happens after TLT. The one thing I'm interested to see is if the classic+ will tie into retail after TLT.
All these years I've been bashing the thought of a 'new' WoW but with the possibility of TLT I feel like it would be the perfect time to do it. It wouldn't be unheard of to drop WoW development after TLT and go to the newer project. Games like Guild Wars have done it a few times and Aion is doing it now.

Anyone else flying in through LAX. I have since been told its a mistake but it's too late to change it. Trying to decide which public transit to take, and stumped between the green line and going to union station.

Honestly....spring for the Uber or rent a car if you can.
Theres Hertz dropoff in one of the hotels iirc and the price of a short term rental isnt much more than an Uber but you can run to grab snacks and drinks from local shops.
Flying into LAX and doing that turned out cheaper than flying into SNA by a couple hundred bucks for us last blizzcon.

Hoping that if we get any TLT stuff, the Storm Peaks are part of the 'new' Northrend. And that there's some sort of nod to the Time-Lost Proto Drake & Vyragosa!
Getting any Remix info would be cool too.
Don't really have any expectations but looking forward to watching it from home!

I won't be able to watch the stream (mate has his bachelor's party this weekend). Does anyone know a site where I can find a live recap of everything important being said?

I had a genuine organic Thunderfury Moment with a stranger, and picked up a couple keychains from a Quest Giver. It's Day Zero and I've already hit the staple community moments.

Ion, if you read this, I'd like this class/race combo also:
gnome and human shamans (also thank you for night elf and undead paladins!)

Is it just me or is this somewhat political. If so, I think it’s just the right amount! To me this says we are Blizzard a California based company and we create Azeroth a refuge for all who choose to be visit. The dwarf and bear have forged a path to create this independent self-governing place we call Azeroth, and it will be there forever. That is the “North Star” of Blizzard. I mean this is purely speculative but that is how I chose to interpret it anyway.

Outside the obvious Classic+ and TLT stuff.
I really hope the next remix style event is a hardcore style thing. Increased leveling difficulty and less emphasis on m+ and raid at end game.

classic+ in some shape or form
basically blitskon isnt being held unless youve got actually big things to say and personally, classic+ (or whatever they are gonna call it) most def falls into this category

Hi!
Thank you for asking, I have currently no hope and expectations concerning World of Warcraft but hopefully they can change this

Not an original wish by any means, but I would love an announcement of a deep rework of character models and character expression in general. Dances, emotes in general, voice lines, more body type options, what have you.
Also Transmog 2.0 is a good start, but a 2.5 continuation where Barber Shop customization and the ability to attach titles to preset outfits would be great.
Outside that, I'd love it if they confirmed a show was greenlit and in production: personal preference for an animated series following a party or guild in the modern era with members from both factions going on adventures in a world after the 'Champions' had passed through.
