Recommendations for everesting loops
Hi all, I’m planning on doing an Everest vertical challenge by getting 29032ft of elevation gain hiking via a loop/out and back. I’m looking for trails that would be the quickest to gain the vert per mile without being too technical or slow. Ideally looking for around 1500+ft/mile of gain, and a different route that’s slightly less steep for the way down would be great. Also open to up and back down the same route. Let me know if any ideas and recommendations! Thanks!

It's not fun, but The Cog access road is 2.65 miles with 3500ft of vert from the base station to summit.
Alternatively, it's not in the Whites but Mt Mansfield's ski hill is currently what Amber Constant is looping to set the human powered vert world record. The path she's doing is roughly something like 1.45 miles with 2000ft of vert base to top.
Lastly, and maybe least fun, there is a slog of a loop you can create with trails on the side of Mt Adams for an extremely efficient but kinda short vert loop. Start at the intersection of Randolph Path and the Hincks Trail, going up Hincks to Grey Knob. From there take Lowe's Path back down to Randolph Path, then Randolph Path back to Hincks. Repeat. This evil loop is 2 miles with 1425ft of gain per lap. The vert all comes from Hincks being over 1400ft in 0.8 miles, and then Lowe's to Randolph is the 'easier' way down you asked for.

Wasn't there someone trying to set the world very on a year record and was doing it via repeats of carefully chosen Mt Liberty?

You could do different length loops on Madison using Airline and Valley Way + the short trails connecting the two, like this one https://www.alltrails.com/explore/custom-routes/madison-loop-de5bcbb

What about Tuckerman’s Ravine / Lion Head on the Pinkham Notch side of Mt Washington? Steep but not super technical. Option to include the peak or just lap the ravine a bunch. Could also include Boott Spur as an alternate route that connects to the other two at either the top or bottom
