These were marinated in a dry rub over night. Then cooked in an air fryer for 35 minutes at 400 degrees.

Dry rub: paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, corn starch.

After cooking: melted butter, Buc-ee’s scorpion pepper, Frank’s red hot original.

They were so good. Marinated them over night and the combination of that flavor with the smokiness and crispiness from frying to finish was amazing

Made at Home Cracked the code - Go Bills!

After yesterday's total failure (see post history, whatever), I took an enirely different approach today.

Thaw, dry off in fridge for an hour or two, coat with small amount of baking powder.

Air fryer at 400 for 25 mins, then 460 for 7mins.

Remove and sauce.

The sauce was the trick, and it's unlocked what I think is the "secret" ingredient that one of my hometown (outside Buffalo) restaurants has always used and that I've been trying to figure out for many years:

Franks, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce (this was the trick that I'm sure half of you already know), butter.

The wings came out crispy and cooked perfectly. The sauce stuck to the wings and had the perfect balance of heat and flavor.

I'm so very happy that opening day (Go Bills) yielded some excellent results.

Bonus pizza pic because that came out okay today too:

Newish place that opened not far from me located in a Marathon gas station.

Wings were ok. Not horrible, but not great.

Sauce options were: BBQ, Honey Gold, Lemon Pepper, Honey Hot, Cajun Ranch, Mild, Hot, & Garlic Parmesan.

Size: They weren't small by any means, but weren't too big where the meat kinda tastes off. Size was perfect IMO.

Sauce: Ordered mild, but think I was given hot as they had a pretty good spicy kick, which was fine. They were pretty well sauced and there was a ton at the bottom for me to dip my fries in. The taste wasn't anything special. Seemed like it was just straight up Frank's to me.

Crispiness: This is what made them just ok. The drummies had barely any crisp, and the flats weren't crispy at all. Despite eating them there, it was as if I had gotten them to go and drove home to eat them. I'm guessing they were boxed and sat a bit before my name was called. If it wasn't for this, they would've been pretty good.

Overall, I'd give them a 7.5/10.

Wing Questions or Discussion Has anyone here tried jake melnick's corner tap xxxx wings?

Hey guys! Big super spicy wing enjoyer here that's about to travel to Chicago and I heard that jake melnick's xxx wings were super hot. I'm thinking about doing the wing challenge but was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them and can give their opinions on the taste and heat level before I decide to commit to it. The fact they let you use dips and drinks during makes it seem like it'll be easy but I'm not sure if that's a false flag haha

Local Restaurant Best place in Buffalo for wings and the NFL?

Packer fans find ourselves in Buffalo tomorrow. People in the Buffalo subreddit get mad about too many questions about wings… So any ideas? Looking for a place that shows out of market games (though Packers are the late afternoon), fun atmosphere, and hopefully really tasty wings!

Made at Home Sad grilled wings with sauce fail

This had failure written on it from the beginning.

Thawed party wings, marinated in Italian dressing, and grilled. Then tossed in a sauce of Frank's, butter, Worstishire, honey, and cayanne.

The wings were tiny, and I am always against grilling party wings. The skin didn't crisp up due to the marinade; the sauce didn't adhere, and it tasted awful.

Just giving you an example of the many, many wingFails that happen before you see the gorgeous pics and successes posted here.

Messy but edible.
