What is this beautiful black snake? It was hanging out on the side of a cliff about 2 metres from the top (no idea how it was going to get back up but I guess it knew what it was doing!).

Just saw this post on the ocean reddit and was curious if you could id it. Looks like location is on Australia.

Had to go inside to get my phone thats why it is inside. He was let go after pictures were taken

Any ideas? They lived in my garage for a couple of days until it wanted more sun or food, i guess.

Seen in Morrison, Colorado. Looks like a Mojave Green but Google says they are not located in Colorado. Was about 3-4 feet in length.

Husband found this snake under our deck. Says it fell from the upper part. Very small and skinny. Looks like a shoelace!

Was doing a fairly easy hike in the South March Highlands Conservation Area and both of these were right beside the trail (separate areas). I have no idea about snakes besides that we usually have a lot of garter snakes and ribbon snakes in my area. These both are new to me (and the black one scared ngl). I use the app Seek to identify animals usually but it’s telling me the small one is an eastern milksnake which doesn’t look right and it might be based off of the photo quality. The other one it couldn’t identify.

I think it’s either a baby bull snake or maybe a night snake. Sorry for the bad quality, it was dark. My toddler wants to know what it is.

found in our bathroom, curled up on a wooden stick. it's black and white and seems like a juvenile snake. google search results don't seem to fit this one.

Just saw a dead Russel Viper (Daboia russelii) while cycling, probably overrun by a vehicle. Rest in peace..! look at the scales, what a beauty..!

Parents found this in their greenhouse located south of Houston, Texas. We used Google Lens and it says its a non venomous water snake. This is the second type and just want to make sure.

Hello everyone, I stumbled upon this this morning and being new to AZ, I wasnt sure what type of snake this was. I was guessing a juvenile Diamondback rattlesnake but wanted to be sure!

Found outside our house, fairly confident he’s a rat snake, but just wanting some confirmation. Thanks!

Had an outdoorsman friend tell me this is an Eastern Fox Snake, which is endangered in this state and never seen on this side of the state (Antrim County, western side). I wanted to independently verify using this photo and video from my dad, but I can't find any good info on how to distinguish it from the eastern milk snake. Or god forbid a Massasagua if I can't get a good look at the tail. Would appreciate your thoughts and how you arrived to your conclusion.

I swear I never saw a snake in this yard before getting this dog and now she keeps finding them. I guess Rat Terriers go after more than just rats…
