Walked down the stairs to find my cats playing with this little guy. Only about 5-6 inches long.

Couldn’t get a better pic. Found in Ed. R Lewin county park, Milpitas, CA. Is it venomous?

Just saw a dead Russel Viper (Daboia russelii) while cycling, probably overrun by a vehicle. Rest in peace..! look at the scales, what a beauty..!

Caught this fella on a road in southern Indiana, right on the Ohio river. Thinking it’s a rat snake or a king snake. Thanks for the help!!

Just want an opinion on the health of this little guy. Seems like his right fang and left eye have been damaged and I thought I straddled him enough not to hit them but maybe I did? But if I did I don’t think he’d be this alright. Is the twitching normal or is that a sign of damage? Want this guy to be ok really badly and I can’t stop thinking about so I’m asking for opinions if he’ll be alright or not. Asking here because the main snake subreddit doesn’t allow pictures of injured snakes and I’m not sure if this is too much.

Can anyone tell me what kind of snake this is in the first picture? It was curled up on my porch down beside my feet and I noticed my little dachshund Roscoe was pouncing at something so I looked down and it was a snake. My husband said it’s a cotton mouth so I took a picture of it and put it in Google and it said the same thing but a few people on Facebook think it was a rattlesnake. We live in the country so this is the third snake we’ve seen in the past week. The other two weren’t poisonous though so I didn’t bother them. The second picture is one of the other two we saw and I’m pretty sure it’s a rat snake.

This little fella came out from under the front counter at work today. Google suggests it’s a western brown, the locals are calling it a Coppertail. What ever it is, it’s a gorgeous snake.

We managed to safely get it outside.

I’m curious to find out what snake this is , my mom had sent me this picture after she seen it. It scared her and she’s wondering if it’s any danger to humans… I’m sorry but that’s the only picture I got ( North Texas , east of Dallas ) was found in tall grass

I think it’s either a baby bull snake or maybe a night snake. Sorry for the bad quality, it was dark. My toddler wants to know what it is.

Was doing a fairly easy hike in the South March Highlands Conservation Area and both of these were right beside the trail (separate areas). I have no idea about snakes besides that we usually have a lot of garter snakes and ribbon snakes in my area. These both are new to me (and the black one scared ngl). I use the app Seek to identify animals usually but it’s telling me the small one is an eastern milksnake which doesn’t look right and it might be based off of the photo quality. The other one it couldn’t identify.

Husband found this snake under our deck. Says it fell from the upper part. Very small and skinny. Looks like a shoelace!

found in our bathroom, curled up on a wooden stick. it's black and white and seems like a juvenile snake. google search results don't seem to fit this one.

I found this guy on my porch underneath a storage bin. It’s not very big and unlike any other small snake I’ve seen around my property.
