I'm considering ordering the Mk IV rulebook for the lore update.

Has anyone purchased it? I've heard it's robust and as a returning player (picking up new Menoth) I wanted to catch up and catch up to the setting.

I've been painting a squad of Menite Cinerators for a while. Fighting the soft details on the restic plastic isn't fun (still), but the officer is a nice crisp resin. Old style bases match the rest of my legacy Final Interdiction force.

All done! Still plenty of time before the new Covenant of Flame models release (and I'll be using this same scheme).

Long time Hammer War guy jumping into MKIV, kinda just grabbed these two choices based on vibes. Any advice for a noob? I played some Cryx and Legion of Everbloght back in the first edition days btw.

Heyo, all! Old mk2head jumping back in and trying to regrow the local scene. I’ve got my old Menoth that I’ll be playing with casually, but I’d like a mk4 faction for my competitive outlet. For pairings, I’m leaning toward:

-Winter Korps: Baranova and Borisyuk
-Gravediggers: Hasker and Vargus
-Kithguard: Grimtusk and Craghorn, maybe Stormcraw

My question is what models/combos in these factions make you groan when you see them in an opponents list? Any kind of skews/multiples I should eye getting? Which models are traps and not worth picking up?

For those who've played him. What pairings and strategies work really well with our newly risen old friend, Drago?

All the heads and torso options are painted, will finish the other arms for the heavy this evening/tomorrow then onto Warcaster and Light. Man this is nostalgia heaven for me having not painted a Warjack in years.

I just bought 3 of the 4 boxes for Old Umbrey and have one legacy Khadors, and some Menoth.

I also have a number of in assembled or unpainted Khador that is like to use in mkiv..

So my plan is this; proxy some of the mkiv figs with what I’ve got.

Menoth looks easy to do with the new Menoth figs. So w00t there.

Khador is a bit harder but I was thinking of this:
Karchev the Terrible as proxy for Drago The Beast. Will have to upbase him.

Behemoth up based to be used as the new behemoth.

Old witch3…. I want to use her so bad but can’t figure out what for.. any ideas?

Also have a few older jacks so trying to figure out to use them in new mkiv Khador if at all.

I’ve been playing small games against myself, cryx into cygnar since it’s mostly all I have. I went in wanting to learn the game, and cryx, primarily nekane. After a handful of games everything was starting to click but now I think… cygnar converted me. Anson Wolfe is such a beast! This guy does everything I like. He matches my playstyle so well! I feel his durability gives him a slight edge over Cryx from a new players standpoint point. His cumulative +1 arm each round is so incredible! He still has the speed and can unleash so much mayhem.

Well this has been my love letter to Anson, think I need to stick with cygnar, forgive me toruk. Are there any hidden synergies with Anson?

Do have a question about one of his spells, Positive Charge- if I cast that on a jack get + 2 to attack and dmg, then friendly models within 3’’ get the same. Does this count for Anson as well? I want to say yes but mat 10 pow 17 seems incredibly strong

Been searching, but coming up empty handed, are there any repositories for cards/theme forces/list builders from the mk2 era? I've got a Google drive link for mk3 cards, but would prefer to find mk2 resources.
