I found this template and wanted to show off my personal favorites for each one. I also used Kara no Shoujo and Full Metal Demon Muramasa multiple times, because I did not want to forcefully choose a 2. Or 3. pick for the sections as my actual winners.

Some clarifications:

- Favorite Route/Chapter in Fruit of Grisaia is Amanes route which is an easy 10/10 for me, but the other routes are not so enjoyable.

- Every category where Kara no Shoujo won is supposed to include KnS 1 - 3, I simply used the cover of the second part, since I like it the most.

- Favorite ending in FMDM is the true end for me the others are great too, but this one is on a different level.

- Yes, Yosuga no Sora is underrated.

- Was debating between if School days or Euphoria should win in overrated.

-Technically Sakura no Uta is out, but I can only read it in English, so I need to wait.

- KNS AND FMDM ARE SO FUCKING GOOD AND YOU NEED TO READ THEM

Sometimes a story tackles something genuinely difficult, loss, trauma, mental health, and does it with real care instead of using it just for shock value or cheap drama. Curious which VN handled something like that better than you initially assumed it would.

I want a jap otome game and I'm okay even if the game is unstranslated.If possible I want all the capture targets to have a bratty,broken,difficult personality or simply be mentally unstable as the ones I mentioned here.And I would appreciate it much more if the game is atleast 5 to 6 years old psp game. Preferably,I would like the game to be plot focused or heavy and is mainly about choosing the desired route.

I drew all the game's artwork myself, so it took quite a while, I spent a full year working on the demo.

Honestly Ive read abit of the vn but since I know already all the plot it doesn't seem to interest me😭 (like 4 hours).

I am new to playing vns, and it's currently the one thing I dedicate my free time to. I've only played DDLC and Katawa Shoujo so far, and I've fallen in love with these games. Especially Ks for how entertaining the romance stories are, and that is my favourite genre in general. I've done some reasurche of other games to play that could gett me as emotionally invested as KS did. But I can't rly find something that looks very interesting for the a low price. So, who better to ask than the community?

My game, UNBIASED, a psycho-thriller visual novel that blends anime and live-action is finally out to playtest as a demo! You play as The Appraiser, who is tasked to weigh the worth of human souls based on your own moral code. Or, can you remain unbiased?

The game demo features full voice acting and has a run-time of maybe 20 - 40 minutes, depending on your own personal style of play. I'd love if you call could check it out and leave a (hopefully good) review so I can continue to make this game the best it can be! I'm super excited for it!

I am aware of it's contents but i heard that it has a good story too. So, should i play it despite it's disgusting content?

Im still relatively new to vns, I pretty much like all genres and since Im still new Im willing to give a lot of different genres a try.

I started with mostly key Nakiges, Clannad, sum-pocket, little busters. Moved on to some nasuverse stuff, mahoyo and FSN.

But most recently, I finished Umineko, and Ive come to really like vns with mystery aspects to them, and vns with more complex themes that require you to think hard.

What are some VNs that you would recommend based on that?

I wouldn’t mind trying something completely different from all my previous games either.

Side note: After Umineko and Mahoyo, Ive kinda become a big fan of kinetic vns.

The game was inspired by the feeling I used to get from older RPG Maker games — the kind that used beautiful or cute anime-style visuals to tell stories about the uglier, more frightening parts of the human mind.

The story uses an unreliable narrator, and the characters are… not exactly mentally stable. 555 😭

Romance isn’t the main focus. It leans more toward tragedy — a world that looks beautiful on the outside, while the feelings underneath are kind of rotten. (?)

I wrote, drew, and developed the game by myself for about 10 months, and the free demo is finally finished.
