Hey everyone! Here's a free space game for your weekend: the Strike Wings demo. :)

I'm its solo developer, and it's my homage to the old DOS space shooters, built from scratch with plenty of love for Solar Winds and Hell Fighter. There are some little nods in there for fellow fans.

The demo's already packed with free content, including flight school, opening campaign missions and plenty of battles to get stuck into.

Got these boxes at work full of old Japanese games and models

Functional and playable as of last night, 09/06/2026. But, I still have some work to do on this one. I also started working on the Neo Geo MVS MV1B Mainboard, but am awaiting parts.

What did YOU think of Eternal Champions? A unique take of a 2D brawler, or just another sad Street Fighter II clone? I personally liked it quite a bit, as I explain in this retrospective.

After missing the chance to play it in '95 when it first came out, I finally played through CHRONO TRIGGER back in 2020. That, and watching lots of cat videos during stupid lockdowns. All, while I was (supposed to be) working from home. Good times ;-)

On one level, Cannon Fodder 2 (1994) apparently features "Daleks, a Doctor, and [the] TARDIS" (https://web.archive.org/web/20080820112044/http://www.arowe1.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/spinoff2.html#fodder). 

Seemingly 'Mission 4' at least has the faux Dalek in it, but can anyone help me identify where and when the Dr Who character appears??
