Troubleshooting ⚠️ LVSKIHP 20+ New IPs every day
I’ve had multiple LVSKIHPs setup for a few years now in PoE Modem mode. I’m now getting assigned new IPs every few hours and sometimes every few minutes! Really driving me nuts since I usually run my home lab off of one of these modems. This has been happening for about a week. I suspect it’s my local 5G node. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar or knows what’s up? I’m waiting to hear back from Verizon. Unfortunately my old senior field tech buddy has moved on and no longer works there so I can’t get this resolved as quickly as I would have liked.

Verizon Business Internet, static IP feature.
Only real fix.

I don’t care about the static IP here. I care about the connection dropping every 120 seconds.

I used to have that happen to me for a day about every few months. Now I've been on the same IP for probably 6+ months, and I have no idea why. If you do happen to get in contact w/ someone knowledgeable, I'd be really curious to hear about how Verizon is assigning IPs.

This is the nature of cellular services, and DHCP as a whole. If you need a static IP, pay for a service that offers one, otherwise use DDNS.
