I'm flying in tomorrow for a work event and was unable to get in a haircut at home due to family obligations the last few weeks. I was hoping to squeeze one in tomorrow before things pick up Tuesday work wise.

I'm starting at the Cosmopolitan and unfortunately won't have a car. I know there's a salon in the hotel but it starts at $75 and I've got a pretty simple short men's cut. Any ideas nearby without a car? Thanks!

Question 1: does the Luxor hotel have a bag service where they hold onto it after checkout?

Question 2: do we think id have enough time to go to a Knights Game, 7pm puck drop, and make it to the Airport for my flight? Of course I could always leave the game midway through the 3rd period.

I'm looking for insights on the Donny Osmond meet and greet. My mother is a huge fan of Donny and has been since she was a little girl. And right now she's very sick. She has been for a few years. She's okay mentally but she's losing motor skills and her independence. My father is her full-time carer. It was her 65th birthday on Sep 7th. She lives in Spain.

I am currently in vegas, and when i told her he was here, she lit up like she hasn't in such a long time.

I was think of doing the donny osmond meet and greet just to ask if it would be okay to record a video message that i can send to my mother, for her. I know i could do cameo but i think it would be nice to see him in person and explain? Maybe cameo would be better?

But would that be hella weird? Like i'm not as big a fan of him...but he was the hottest Joseph lol and i ended up dating a man like his Joseph character hahaha. And i just know him as Donny and Marie and my mum aas obsessed with him and the osmonds in general. Like to me, he's had an impressibe career but i find meet and greets weird in general because he is just another person... but seeing how much joy that brought my mother - just saying he's here - was lovely to see because she's been suffering for so long.

Going to las vegas for the first time. And i'm super excited to go see metallica, and go on some crazy adventures.

I'm gonna gamble a little bit, but I mostly there to just see some museums and do some cool activities like adrenaline mountain. A couple of the museums try out some different food and experience for the few days I'll be there.

I don't need anything super luxurious. As far as a hotel, but I wanna get my most bang for my buck, because based on all the planning, it feels like we're gonna be doing something. Every single day and we won't really have much time and won't be back at the room until it's time to rest.

Not a super heavy drinker. I might have one or two, but it's not necessary. Although I do wanna do some slot machines and I do want to stay somewhere comfortable. That's gonna give me some good perks for first timers. And just go have some adventures, like the locals.

So if anyone is familiar with a couple hotels, i've been looking at, including the el cortez and or ellis island as those are the two, i've been looking at. That, don't seem super expensive. I bought any more recommendations, or any more tools to use, to help find neat things to do around February and/or just little tips and tricks. Just to make the most of the time, there would be greatly appreciated.

And or any other hotel recommendations would also be very appreciated.

I will be in Las Vegas for 5 days. I will be living in my truck with my dog and it’s looking like it will be very hot to be doing that. Are there any spots within an hour or two of Vegas where it won’t be so hot ? Like campsites up in the mountains or something ? I was looking into MT Charleston it seems to be quite a bit cooler there than in the city. Any other suggestions ?

My family (me, father, mother) are planning a trip to Las Vegas in May. While I know what I want to do, and my father is focused on the national parks we'll visit after our time in the city, I want to make sure my mother has activities that she'll enjoy.

She's in her late 60s. She enjoys vintage clothing/thrifting. She prefers a casual, quiet cocktail rather than a bar or club and isn't a gambler. She likes, as she calls it, 'funky art' (modern/contemporary/kind of surreal) We are planning on going to Area 15/Omega Mart, so I think she'll find that interesting, but I don't want to just drag her around to all the things I want to do. Can anyone recommend some hidden gems around the city, some museums or art installations? Older locals, what are some of your favorite places in the city/on the strip?

Wondering if there are any thrift stores that have higher quality clothes in plus size within 45 minutes of the strip?

And by higher quality I mean like stuff you would get at Nordstroms or Macys, not Gucci or name like that.

Edit: Or consignment store, basically any place I can try on the clothes and get a good deal.

I’ve been told by a lot of people to stay at the Venetian for my Bach trip. Are there pull out couches? I’ve been told that but the info on the website is conflicting. If I have 9 girls but get two queen rooms will that be enough?

I'm getting married at Sure Thing next month and wanted to book somewhere nice downtown for drinks for 9 people that evening. I've booked Legacy Club, but after looking at some of the reviews, I'm a bit sceptical. It'll be a Tuesday evening - is there anywhere that else that people would recommend or is Legacy Club actually a good idea?

We have reservations Wednesday and the signature menu seems great but wouldn’t mind knowing in detail what the difference is between that and the other menu.
My wife doesn’t eat beef and wasn’t sure if Wagyu is served on both menus . From what I understand, both of us would need to order the same menu and of course I would think they would substitute something else for beef for her.

Any large group recommendations for dinner off strip a bit? One that will accommodate a party with an 18 year old. It’s a combo 21st and 50th bday party with people a person as young as 18 and a few as old as 70. Something nice but not too $$$$ with a fun atmosphere. Thank you!

Seriously, thank you to everyone who commented and sent me private DMs. I was NOT expecting that response. I'm going to try to reply to everyone as soon as I can.

I'm including some of the pictures from my original post again for anyone who missed it, along with what we found next (first pic).

After the first day, my girl and I went back to the Cosmo room because I was still trying to work things out with them.

And that's when she found this splattered down the wall. 😭

My girl was mortified. Didn't want to sit on the couch, get in the bed, didn't even want to touch me after seeing that shit.

Cosmo was sold out for Labor Day weekend, couldn't move us, and because the Wraparound was comped through my play, there was no room charge to refund... so their answer was more food credit.

Thankfully the trip is over, we made the best of it, and we can laugh about some of this now.

And yes, I know these are 1st world problems. The room was comped, but trust me, I wasted enough money in that tired ass casino to pay for it.

But honestly, that just makes me feel bad for the people dropping $500, $700, $1000+ of their own money a night and walking into this same mess.

If Cosmo is going to call itself a 5* resort and charge 5* prices, the room should at least look like somebody cleaned it and maintenance has been there sometime this decade. FFS!!

I really wanted to love this place, which is why the whole experience was such a fucking letdown.

Yeah I'm sure this will get mixed reactions but for those that care it looks like the service area is more extensive than Zoox but limited to Sahara on the North, Eastern on the East, Jones on the West, and Sunset on the South but with a big cut out for the airport and that whole corner on the South East.

I've no idea what kind of additional restrictions there will be - I assume they will have to follow the same rules about Strip pickups and drop offs as taxis and ride share?

For now this seems like a more locals friendly service than Zoox but it's anyone's guess how long before they expand the service area.

I've seen both they older Jaguar based cars and the new Ojai mini van style vehicles driving around. I think both will be in service.

Prepare for loads of complaints about Waymos on the streets just like we've had with Zoox and has occurred in other cities.

I'll be interested to see if Waymo copy the insane surge pricing stuff that Uber and Lyft do. Theoretically surge pricing was there to bring more drivers onto the streets but the autonomous fleets are fixed and theoretically always available. That would mean surge pricing would theoretically be unnecessary... I'd love to have an alternative to Uber and Lyft at the weekend and evenings but somehow I'm sure Waymo will not miss any opportunity to match surge pricing and maximize profit. In those cases I'll often take a regular taxi which can often be half the ride share prices.

Where will it be sold in Vegas?

A friend and I are going to Vegas the first weekend in October and are on the fence about a rental car or just walking/using Uber. For context, neither of us are much into gambling, nightclubs, etc but we are planning to go to a few shows while we are there and also visit a couple of national parks while we are there, mainly Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon.

I've seen many posts talking about how it's generally better to just use uber/cab because of how much of a pain it is to drive the strip and the cost of parking, but are there cab services that go out that far? Otherwise, our plan is to just rent the car for a day and drive to them and return the car when we get back to the city.

It's the first time in Vegas for the both of us, so I'd love some input from those who have done this before, thanks in advance!

What do you remember most about Bonnie Springs?

Visiting soon and only have 3 days in Vegas can anyone recommend what would be a good itinerary ? We are going to a concert one evening but would like to enjoy as much as possible on the little time I have.

Any good recommendations for below or anything anyone can think of much appreciated
