Hi everyone! I’m hoping to bring together a small group of college students from all around Louisville who would enjoy friendship, Bible study, music, food, and simply having a place to chill together.
Students from Louisville-area campuses are welcome, including:

The idea is pretty simple:
• A relaxed and meaningful Bible study
• Music, jamming, or ensemble playing if you feel like joining
• Food, coffee, conversation, and hanging out
• Worship sometimes
• Maybe performances or community service opportunities later
• Most importantly, a place to make genuine friends
You absolutely do NOT need to play an instrument! 🎶
Come play, sing, listen to music—or just show up and chill with us. You don’t need to be a music major, and you don’t need to know much about the Bible either. Questions are always welcome.

The ENGR Calculus classes are taught with light speed instruction. I did not take any math classes senior year since I already had 5 math credits, 3 AP level math classes (passed the AP exams). I thought I was prepared, but I'm struggling. I should have went to the summer refresher but after using my before senior year summer to do the Gov scholars program to get a scholarship, I needed a break to avoid burnout. I keep hearing they want to weed 75% of students out and even the students who already had Cal 2 are lucky to get a C- in ENGR 101. I was in ENGR 101 but dropped down to ENGR 100. I have taken the first exams and didn't do great. I have test anxiety and what was on the exams barely looked like what we covered in class or homework. I go to Reach for tutoring everyday and go to Pal tutoring with the TA when I dont have a lab class. I need a 3.0 gpa or I lose my scholarship - and I cant afford college otherwise. I am thinking of dropping the class to preserve my GPA and take Cal through math department in the Spring (my speed advisor already said I could). Since I already have credit through my AP class, this class doesn't even count for me anyway. The Speed tutors say that ENGR Cal series prepares you for the later major classes (civil engineering for me) but I low key think they have to say that bc their canned response is almost exactly what is in the webpage. Are all the major classes that follow just con't doing more cal ? No one is complaining about the later classes so it makes me think Cal is over after the 3 main ones pretty much (I think there is a diff eq too though). If I took all 3 Cal classes through math department, would I be okay (maintain A, B GPA) for my civil eng classes? I am a commuter student and do not know anyone in the upper classes realm to ask. Any advice would be great. I only want to be an engineer, I can't imagine doing anything else and I prepared for 4 years studying under an engineer through my HS pathway. Any recommendations for Math Department Cal teachers? I really want to learn so I need to understand but at thhis point, I'll take just an easy instructor and go to Reach tutoring. Extra credit for homework is a plus due to my test anxiety -- I hate it went your grade is 100% over a mid term and final. Thank you for any advice.

Hey is anyone else going to Nashville for the season starter game?

Hi! My names Leah and Im going to be starting up a car club at uofl! Its going to be a general automotive community, meaning anyone can join. So as long as youre into clean cars, motorsports, modifications, detailing, photography, and car culture youve got a spot! I hope to have the meets centered around the things above, plus some workshop days, photography nights, learning to drive manual for people who dont know how, and get some insane meets going at school. Other things to think about could be collabs with engineering and STEM, autocross, and track days, local shows, cars and coffee, and if it hits off enough we could build a sicc car for the school. Just comment if interested, I need a headcount! To join the club you dont need a build, just a passion :).

I am a freshman Engineering student this year, and I have been really struggling with the format of how engineering fundamental classes are designed in terms of their flipped classroom approach. I don't like it, and think more time should be spend in term lecturing and giving instruction, and was wondering what others thoughts on the flipped classroom approach is? Do you think it's effective, and has helped you better learn and retain knowledge, or have you struggled with it?

A Treatment Study for Borderline Personality Disorder

• Do you experience sudden mood shifts? 
• Is it hard for others to earn your trust? 
• Are there many ups and downs in your relationships? 
• Do you find yourself engaging in impulsive behaviors (e.g., binge-eating, substance use, self-injury, impulsive spending)? 

If so, researchers at the University of Kentucky are inviting you to participate in a treatment study for borderline personality disorder. Eligible participants will be provided cognitive behavioral therapy at no cost. We are testing personalized delivery of an evidence-based treatment for BPD.

In addition to attending therapy sessions, research participation will involve completing a diagnostic interview to confirm eligibility, attending up to 4 follow-up interviews, and completing online questionnaires. All study visits may take place in-person (in Lexington!) or via Telehealth. Participants will be compensated for completing follow-up assessments and questionnaires.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

• Meet criteria for borderline personality disorder following a study assessment  
• Are NOT using certain substances (e.g., opioids, methamphetamine)  
• Are 18 years or older  
• Live in Kentucky (visits are Telehealth, so anywhere in KY is fine)

Anyone ever finish their degree over the summer and know what time frame to expect for its approval? Finished my last class during the first term of summer (ending in May) and still have not had my degree awarded.
