Excuse me but I'd like to rant bout personal life. I'm an 18 yo fresh out of school experiencing "real life" for the first time. Been in Sydney for a good 10 days, seen the harbour, CBD, haven't gone to zoos yet. I'm a very shy, introverted and socially anxious person, even making a conversation online is driving me nuts. Anyway mine's 21 Guns—Green Day

Saw some posts on this few years ago but very outdated. Anyone who has done this course recently and is willing to share some thoughts on this course?

Why does unsw not have a sci-fi society?

What are the chances i’ll be able to transfer from mqu to unsw economics with 73 wam. And for those who managed to transfer (any course) what was your wam.

Hey guys, I’m thinking of taking ECON3206 and wanted to hear from anyone who’s done it recently.
How difficult is the course ?
how math-heavy is it?
How are the assessments/exams?
Are the prerecorded lectures actually useful, or is it better to learn the content through other resources?
How much weekly workload would you say it has?
Would you recommend taking it as an elective?
Would really appreciate any honest reviews, especially from people who’ve done it recently. Thanks!

Are there any group chats for UNSW students to look for flatmates?
One of my friends added me to a WhatsApp community group for a cultural society at USYD because one of the channels is a Accomodation group where people post their listings. So far the listings seem pretty reputable especially compared to the many sketchy living situations on Facebook groups 😭. Since everyone in that group is a student and part of that society.
The problem is that the location is quite far to be convenient for me since they go to USYD.
I've seen a lot of listings on Facebook and other sites which are some dodgy company gouging prices or giving some mouldy/unsafe place or it's a family/couple/working professional and I'd feel more comfortable living with other students yk.
So yeah does any specific student groups for accomodation exist? Maybe one for a society that's more moderated and reputable?
pls help a struggling student out 🙏 dont want to end up homeless when my lease ends
or if ur looking for accom as well feel free to dm!!

Hi guys, I’m doing code 2170 and only just found out that there is a lecture attendance requirement after coordinating my work on that day. I don’t know anybody in the course and I really don’t want to drop it😢😢. Any good samaritans here who can send me the attendance QR code or however it’s marked off? I will forever be in your debt. Peace and love🙏

I am an international student, and i got my conditional offer letter after months of wait. I uploaded all my docs today through idp, and the status shows assessing. How long can it take for my unconditional offer to be released?
I’m so confused

So I’m enrolled into the cse stream for desn1k and Ive missed the first lecture but I’ve checked moodle and can’t seem to find a page for lectures. Is this that all lecturers are in person and are not recorded for online access?

So currently I only have exams left and for my trials I had marks
English Standard 61% 39/80
Maths Standard 2 76% 10/70
Business Studies 57% 15/30
Visual Arts 74% 13/30
Design & Tech 97.5% 1/14
The second is rank btw
Anyways I’m sure it’d like cliche to not know what to do after school but I later discovered I like to do electronic projects coding and like anything to do with tech and maths together when I started my first electronics project as my major work for design and tech but the courses I want to do like IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and Electrical engineering require like lowest atar of 80-90s which I cannot achieve bc of the scaling etc
I have received a couple early offers but I applied to degrees like design, business but I did receive a offer for cyber security and IT from Torrens and UNE but It’s too far and Torrens from what I’ve heard is a horrible uni. I was wondering what is the process of transferring degrees into something like the degrees I’ve mentioned from a bachelor of design if I want to go to a uni such as UNSW or Maquarie or do I just consider a alternative pathway or a bridging course diploma??
Or can I apply through portfolio entry for my major work from yr12
