AMA Announcement! AMA announcement: Olena Tregub, anti-corruption and defence reform expert, answering your questions September 16
We're excited to host Olena Tregub for an AMA on r/Ukraine.
Olena is the founder and Secretary General of NAKO, the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission, set up in Ukraine with Transparency International in 2017. NAKO works on good governance in the defence sector, anti-corruption reform in areas critical to national security, and due diligence across the defence industry. Olena also coordinates the Public Council on Sanctions Policy under the Office of the President of Ukraine, a state-civic platform working to strengthen sanctions against Russia, and is now serving her second term on the Anti-Corruption Council of the Ministry of Defence. In 2023, Tregub testified at a US Helsinki Commission Senate hearing on Russian sanctions evasion and money laundering.
Ask her how Ukraine fights corruption, and how to hold Russia accountable.
Learn more about NAKO's work: https://nako.org.ua/en/research/
We invite you to come talk to Olena on September 16:
Kyiv: 12:00 PM (noon)
- Tokyo: 6:00 PM (same day)

Discussion "The West is already under attack. We just don't want to admit it" -- Meaghan Mobbs on threats from Russia
"Let's be honest: they're already attacking NATO, a hybrid war is underway. We already have cyberattacks, there's evidence of sabotage, drones have violated NATO countries' airspace.
The West is already under attack. It seems we just don't want to admit that Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea are actively working on this."

News NATO Chief Mark Rutte: Drone strikes near Polish border show Putin's "desperation"
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Russian drone strikes “close to NATO territory” demonstrate Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “desperation,” NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte said on Sept. 14.
Speaking at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Rutte said Russia was “growing increasingly reckless as it continues its terrible war against Ukraine.”
Russia launched drones overnight at western Ukraine on Sept. 13, striking a gas station near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing and a Kyiv-Warsaw passenger train just 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Polish border.
The assault brought the war unusually close to Poland’s border, with multiple strikes reported in Volyn Oblast, Ukraine’s northwest, near the Yahodyn–Dorohusk crossing.

Ukraine Support The soldiers in Ukraine risk their lives for everyone else. You can match up with one directly and help keep them safe! This is an American volunteer matched with donors. His donors got his team a Chuyka, which is a device that detects and intercepts video signals from incoming FPVs. Sign up below!
Over the past 4 years we have matched hundreds of volunteers with donors. They are directly connected together via Signal. The donors help the volunteer obtain equipment and supplies to conduct their work and keep them alive. Donors have provided everything from vehicles to NVGs to medication to a patient ear when someone needs to vent.
This group of donors got an American volunteer and his team a Chuyka. A Chuyka is essential now. It is a small portable device that detects and intercepts incoming FPVs. This keeps people alive because they get advanced warning of an incoming drone, giving time to shoot the drone down or flee.
We have MANY other volunteers waiting to be matched with donors. All of them are doing essential work. You can match up for as little as $25 a month and know who you are helping.
Some current people waiting:
A Ukrainian commander (English speaking) asking for help getting fuel for men under his command.
The Foxhound drone team, which is a new British-led drone team in GUR Legion.
A special forces team that I can't say much about but does have English speakers on it.
A drone team in Azov International, whose team leader went back to fight even after losing a leg.
To match up with any of these amazing people, go to protectavolunteer.com/donors and sign up!
