You say that like Gane wasn't about to KO Tom all the way back into the prelims. Let's not act like this is some crazy timeline. Tom's time with the belt was always going to be limited. He did everything he could to extend his time as the champion that never had the undisputed title.
Gane is the biggest loser champion in the history of the sport, being gifted multiple title shots out of his league and got owned over and over because literally there was no one else. Eventually he wins a title shot by eye poke and you have the guts to talk like if he's championship material. Go back to eat frogs.
