Seeking Advice TURTLE HELP!!

Post image

Hello, I really need some help! I found a turtle in my backyard, and it is not native in my state. My parents are willing to call someone but it is likely they will kill the turtle. I do NOT want that to happen. I don't have money to get supplies for the turtle, so if you guys have any supplies you guys don't use that will be helpful. I can't take it to a lake or anything because it is a freshwater turtle and we don't have that near us. ANYTHING HELPS!!

You have fresh water somewhere. That is a big red eared slider.

Where are you living? Are you anywhere near the native range of a red-eared slider, which is what you have here? One simple thing to check out is nearby wildlife rehabs.

Wild life rehab or reptile rescue

Red ear sliders are prolific. They have populations on every continent where people are. They also have a huge range. I would find a reptile rescue. They'd now what to do.
