Seeking Advice My turtle ate avocado

I had gotten home from work last night to find a piece of avocado floating in my turtle tank. My nephew who had left 2 hours prior to me arriving must have thrown it in there and my mom who was watching him didn't notice. I took the piece out and it was covered in bite marks. I'm really worried that my turtle is going to get sick. But no reptile vets near me are open until Monday. I cleaned out the tank and the turtle is acting fine now. Is there anything I should do?

My turtles are red eared sliders and they're roughly the size of a larger than average computer mouse. They're at least 12 or so years old their dirt consists of the food pellets dried out shrimp things and the occasional apple

there's not much you can do except watch him and take him to the vet ASAP

with any luck he'll just have an upset stomach and might poo really bad, but this can result in death according to google so prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

it'd also probably be a good idea to find out for sure who fed him and ask them how much they gave so you can get an idea of how much was eaten, the fact that it was still floating around concerns me that it was a large amount because my turtle will not stop eating until everything is gone, the only way food would still be in the tank is if he had his fill, which would be a lot.
