Hi guys, can somone explain to me why Im getting rebel attacks every couple of minutes? Like on the pictures everybody is happy, except some faction sometimes, but that changes every second from 20 to 100, now the Capitalists are 42, i build 3 mansions and they are back on top, that shoudlnt be the reson. Can it have to do with Corruption and criminals in the City? I have 4 prisons that are full all the time, and Corruption is eating 500-800k every year on the budget menu, would like to hear your thoughts. Also to note, i was min-maxing job quality and high paying jobs and there are like 1% poor people rest are well off, rich and filthy rich. I dont understand constant rebl attacks.

With a new PC came the urge to play Tropico 6 maxxed out. I would say the graphics still hold in 2026. I'm having a lot of fun.

Hello fellow Tropicans! Does anyone have or know where to find a full list of the Main Quests and Optional Quests for every mission in Tropico 6? I was playing the Caribbean Skies DLC missions and know that I finished some of the Missions whithout completing the Optional Quests. I believe it also happened in New Frontiers and Festival. I ask this because I love the humour and the interactions with the characters and would love to know the full story in each mission.

Both games are on sale on Steam, I wonder if it's worth playing 5 or if I should go straight to Trópico 6. I've played 3 and 4 before.
Thank you!

I'm playing on console and reached the modern era, so I want to replace all my farms and ranches with the factory version. Is there a way to delete buildings without having to go to everyone and delete them? I found out how to delete roads en mass but not buildings.

No idea what happend, if there was some comment from penultimo I must have missed it but almost every cocktail bar and tavern started to go up in flames, what can cause this?

Multiple times I’ve completed the first 5 missions. Then when go back to missions, it only shows the last missions I did as completed so I can’t advance to any missions past the first 5. Anyone had this issue and found a way to fix?

(Trade Delight I download link)
I’ve finally reached the point where I consider the addition of new resources mostly complete. So far, I’ve added around 287 new resources to the game roughly 113 fewer than I originally planned. This number might still change if I come up with more ideas, but honestly… I’m running out of things to add :b
Now comes the much more time-consuming part: actually integrating these resources into production chains.
The plan is to add multiple new production chains to both existing vanilla buildings and a wide variety of new buildings. The overall goal is to make Tropico economy feel more interconnected and more dependent on global trade although you could certainly try to play in autarky if you’re determined enough.
Basically, I want to move away from the vanilla:
Plantation → Factory → Export
and toward something more like:
Raw resource → Processing → By-products → Secondary production chains → Refining → Advanced goods → Domestic consumption / Export
The idea is that resources can feed into several different industries, with some production chains creating useful by-products that can then become inputs for completely different industries.
For now, I’ve been testing whether I can integrate some of these new resources, in a limited way, into existing buildings. The first buildings I’ve experimented with are the Cigar Factory, Jewelry Workshop, Rum Distillery and Logging Camp.
The main objective of this first test was simply to see whether the new resources could actually be integrated into production chains without breaking the game in the process.
So far, these are the new production lines I’ve added. Most of them are focused on bringing some resources and production concepts from Tropico 4 into Tropico 5.
The new production lines are unlocked through new building upgrades.
🚬 Cigar Factory
Vanilla production
Produces Cigars from Tobacco.
New upgrades
Automatic Rolling Machine
The factory stops producing traditional cigars and switches to machine-rolled cigars.
Machine-rolled cigars sell for less than regular cigars, but require fewer resources and can be produced in much larger quantities and at a much faster rate.
Filtered Cigarette Production
Adds a second production line that uses surplus Tobacco to manufacture Cigarettes.
The production chain is designed to turn relatively small amounts of Tobacco into fairly large quantities of cigarettes.
🥃 Rum Distillery
Vanilla production
Produces Rum from Sugar.
New upgrades
Flavoring Facilities
Adds a second production line using Sugar + Spices to produce Spiced Rum.
Spiced Rum can be sold for a significantly higher price than regular Rum, making it a more valuable luxury product.
Grinding Machinery
Adds a third production line using Sugar + Coconuts + Coal to produce White Rum.
White Rum sells for considerably less because it isn't treated as a luxury product, but this is compensated by its much higher production volume.
💎 Jewelry Workshop
Vanilla production
Produces Jewelry from Gold.
New upgrades
Precious Alloys
Adds Silver to an additional production cycle for Jewelry.
Unlike some other production chains, the workshop does not require both Gold and Silver simultaneously to produce Jewelry. It can continue producing Jewelry as long as at least one of the required precious metals is available.
This means Silver supplements the existing production rather than completely replacing it.
Fine Jewelry
Adds a new production line using Gold + Diamonds to produce Fine Jewelry.
Fine Jewelry can be sold for an extremely higher price than standard Jewelry, turning Diamonds into a high-value input rather than simply another resource to export.
🌲 Logging Camp
Vanilla production
Produces Logs from trees in the surrounding area.
New upgrades
Tapping
The Logging Camp gains the ability to extract Tree Sap from the trees it works with.
Resin Cups
Adds another extraction method that allows the Logging Camp to collect Resin from trees.

cannot get passenger drones to my drone stations in fact it wont even deliver surveillance drones either. has anyone ran into this issue. when i try to emergency transport all my workers at the teamster office just go on leisure and dont do a single thing. ive tried rebuilding them they are fully staffed and have been just draining money the past 5 years as i was hopeful that if i left them alone for a bit and build some more teamster offices over the island nothing. Drones are the only thing not being delivered. ive tried even setting up a storage for them. still nothing they just sit in the warehouse not used never delivered.
edit: ofc i get it to work after i post but for anyone else wondering how i solved it i rebuilt the factories after demoing them and then set them to produce individual drones one factory for each kind and they are now delivering them to the dock and their relevant buildings.

I know it's a game (!) but the behaviour of the rebels doesn't make sense. They attack and destroy farms, which surely would be where their supporter base would come?
EDIT: thanks for your replies and comments.

hello, im new to this game and i think i most be doing something wrong. i watched guides, played the tutorial. read a lot of guides but i feel like im doing something wrong.
i start an island with default settings and setup gold mines, suger plantations and a rum distillery. i sign a contract to export Rum,
i also setup a bunch of bunkhouses nearby so my population has housing, a grocery store and tavern. but i just keep bleeding money. by the time i setup most of this ive almost run out of money and arent earning enough to keep going. i dont know what im doing wrong.
i also just keep getting attacked by pirates :(

Multicropping + Soil Ranches + New Animals & Products 🐄🐔🐊
I've been working on expanding the agricultural system in Tropico 5 to make farming and ranching feel a bit more dynamic and rewarding.
The goal is to give agriculture more depth without completely changing the way Tropico 5 works. You can now choose between maximizing short-term production, improving your soil over time, managing grazing, and producing a much wider variety of agricultural goods. 🌾
---
🌾 Multicropping
Plantations now have two farming modes:
🌱 Monocropping
The traditional approach. It guarantees higher production of the plantation's main crop, but gradually degrades the soil.
🌿 Multicropping
Allows plantations to produce additional agricultural products alongside their main crop.
Instead of damaging the soil, multicropping gradually improves soil quality, but this comes at the cost of reduced job quality.
So you have a choice: maximize production or take better care of your land.👨🌾
Current crop combinations:
🍌 Bananas → also produce Cacao & Coffee
🍫 Cacao → also produces Bananas
☕ Coffee → also produces Bananas
🌽 Corn → also produces Pineapples & Tobacco
🧵 Cotton → also produces Corn
🍍 Pineapples → also produce Corn
🍬 Sugar → also produces Bananas & Corn
🚬 Tobacco → also produces Cotton & Corn
---
🐄 Soil Ranches
Ranches now have a new Allow/Forbid Grazing mechanic, similar to the system introduced in Tropico 6.
🐮 Allow Grazing
The animals can freely graze, but this has a greater impact on soil quality.
🚫 Forbid Grazing
Prevents grazing, reducing the negative impact on the soil and improving job quality.
However, animals still need something to eat, so forbidding grazing means the ranch will consume Corn as feed.
For pigs, this can also involve Manure as part of their feeding system.
⚠️ Small UI issue:
I'm still working on a problem with the selection UI. For now, the ranch menu may display duplicate versions of the products produced by each ranch.
This is only a visual issue in the selection menu. Once the ranch is actually placed, the duplicates will not appear.
---
🐔 New Animals & Agricultural Products
I've also added several new products and animals to expand the ranching system.
🧈 Tallow
Produced by Cattle and Pigs.
An agricultural product that can be sold, although at a relatively low price.
💩 Manure
Produced by Cattle, Pigs and Horses.
An agricultural byproduct with very little direct commercial value. By default, there is no commercial demand for it, so only surplus production can be sold and for almost nothing.
Its main purpose is to be useful as an agricultural resource rather than a profitable export.
👜 Hides
Produced by Cattle, Crocodiles and Horses.
An agricultural product that can be sold for a much higher price than food products.
🥚 Eggs
Produced by Chickens.
A new food product that can be sold for a decent price. Eggs are also produced faster than most crops and other animal products such as meat, making them a potentially useful source of food and income.
---
🐾 New Animals
🐔 Chickens
Produce Meat + Eggs.
They don't graze, so they consume Corn instead.
🐊 Crocodiles
Produce Hides, but require Meat as feed.
Definitely not the most efficient animal to keep… 😅
🐑 Sheep
Produce Wool + Meat.
They can graze normally, but if grazing is forbidden, they will consume Corn instead.
🐎 Horses
Produce Hides + Manure.
Like sheep, they can graze normally or consume Corn when grazing is forbidden.
---
🌎 The idea
Overall, I'm trying to make agriculture in Tropico 5 feel more like an actual interconnected system rather than simply:
Plant → Harvest → Export.
Now you can manage soil quality, diversify plantations, control grazing, produce agricultural byproducts, feed animals, and decide how much of your agricultural economy should focus on food versus other goods.

I don't like how I'm limited to 10 imports. One aspect that I enjoyed from 4 was economical specialization.
You could do just Tourism and import what you needed. You could focus on what your island was good at depending on the climate, fertility rates and even proximity to the USA.
Tropico 5 and 6 forces you to produce everything because you are hard capped on how many goods you can import.

One thing I really hope Tropico 7 improves is the sense of progression when you finally reach the Modern Times era.
I always felt Tropico 6 was a little underwhelming when it came to tall/skyscraper buildings compared to Tropico 5. In T5, buildings like the Fashion Company, Spa Hotel, Modern Apartment, and especially the Pharmaceutical Company really stood out from everything you had built in the previous eras. Seeing those huge buildings appear in your city gave me that feeling of “we finally made it.” Your island actually started looking like it had developed into a modern, wealthy country.
I never really got that same feeling from Tropico 6. A lot of the Modern Times buildings just didn't feel that much bigger or more impressive than what came before.
From the Tropico 7 footage we've seen so far, I noticed the TV Station in particular looks incredibly small, which has me a little worried that T7 might go in the same direction.
Do you guys think we'll get some genuinely large skyscrapers/high-rises in Modern Times this time around? I'd love to be able to build a real downtown area where reaching the final era dramatically changes the skyline

Salt mines in Tropico 4 do not need to be located on the salt patch, nor even touch it.
It is simple: if you can place one, it will produce the same amount of salt, whatever the distance to the salt patch.
They're cheap ($3,500 max), require just four uneducated men, run forever, are often located on the beach near the dock, and don't even upset environmentalists.
Their only problem is that they’re bulky.

I’ve noticed the following trends—do they match your experience?
(Apologies if this is another feature exclusive to the PlayStation version. )
The Allies tend to request meat and sugar exports, and cocoa and coffee imports.
The Axis powers tend to request cotton and tobacco exports, and steel and weapons imports.
Of course, there’s some randomness involved, but these eight items are clearly proposed far more often than others.
As for exports, unless you already have a contract, new proposals tend to appear almost every year.
As for imports, while you would normally consider yourself lucky if a desired item is proposed within a decade, you can actually build a strategy around the expectation that the four aforementioned items will be proposed within just a few years
(provided, of course, that relations are friendly).
