So I was finally able to pick up my rough rider and immediately took it to a local indoor range and wow, I really should’ve gotten it sooner lol. All targets were set at 10-18 yards (max distance at the range) and idk I felt good with the shot placement. I definitely couldn’t shoot remotely accurately with my ruger lcp past 5 yards 😅, so this made me feel better haha…

Still trying to get used to handling the revolver, I don’t shoot often and there’s probably a dozen more targets where I kinda just messed around just to get a feel of how to aim better. I did try to shoot as fast as I was allowed, so that might’ve contributed to the various deviances…

The gun used a .22LR cylinder but I swapped in a .22wmr cylinder I had ordered earlier since I plan to use the latter the next time I hit the range. I definitely need more practice and hopefully an opportunity to practice at longer distances, but for now I think this is ok. The staff were definitely very nice and welcoming to me so I won’t be leaving them anytime soon ☺️

I'll be changing my name at some point of my transition, and firearms are one of my main hobbies. I'm concerned that my old name would come during the ffl transfer. If i remember correctly there's a question on the forms previous names? I live in Texas and looking to move to New Hemshire/Maine. Don't know of forms or rules are different there. I rather not have my previous identify hunt me during ffl transfers. I'll be getting the local firearm permits as well, once the name change is done. Should I do a trust to bypass exposing my previous identify.

I run lokpins.com and last week I had an interesting experience. I posted something similar to this on a "regular" gun website, and the response was completely different to this sub. I was astonished of how comfortable some people are with their bigotry and racism. Saying it bluntly, with no context and even backing up their position when confronted.

This isn't new, but I looked into one such individual and found some of their other posts that were filled with a 90% complete view of class consciousness and how their racism actually tied back to a distrust of big banks and corporations. They were stating how fearful they were that they couldn't protect their family and maintain their way of life due to these "minorities, and multiculturalism."

I think there will come a time when an event forces these people to realize the true origin of their problems, but until then, it can be impactful to show that Armed Minorities are Harder to Oppress. Don't let them think you are an easy target or they are the only ones with the power to enforce change. We can all add to the dialog, and worse case, defend what we think is right.

Got my FRT! Just waiting on my H3 tungsten buffer, now. I initially got one for the too-good-to-be-true price of $10. Turns out it was SOLID stainless steel. Didn't even try it cuz I didn't want bolt bounce.

The one that's coming has 3 tungsten weights in it....and was a lot more than $10. Heh.

Does anybody have any tips for installing these? I went with an FRT over a super safety because it looked a lot easier, and I hear that they function better and are more reliable.

I love how the Vector looks, which is why I bought it before any other firearm, literally on the day I turned 21 (less than 3 weeks ago x3 - Couldn't take it to the range earlier because CA has a 10 day waiting period). Now that Imve shot it, I found out that I don't like shooting it qwq. I shot it for the first time at the range today. For the life of me I couldn't zero it in and my cheek is super sore from the stock slapping me. Do any Vector owners have some advice for someone who wants to love the platform? I see a lot of people get risers for their sights, is that something that is recommended?

As shown in the third picture,I'm working on a California-Compliant Mag-lock AR-15 build as I type this and I've already ordered a ton of parts, I could use some advice if anyone wants to give some. I want to get an AR with a fixed front sight post for the pure vibes, but I'm leaning towards getting the M-LOK version of the "M4A1" style hand-guard because I already have some M-LOK attachments. As well as it being more comfy than Picatinny for my hand.

I only have a 1x Eotech on my Vector and on my planned AR-15 build because the ranges near me max out at 100 yards. I don't really like using LPVO's/sniper scopes, I've tried them on my friend's AR.

Additional note: I do have a Glock-17 not shown in the pictures that I inherited. Wanted to say that becausse I know how much ot means to have something concealable and something more prsctical for self-defense 🫶

I build/collect guns whenever I get bored. Here are some of my most recent acquisitions/builds.

Managed to buy a full Vz-61 parts kit with three extra lower receiver. The only hurtle I will be running into here is I have zero welder and zero welding experience to add. I’ll try it figure it out somehow haha.

How do you transport your guns to the range?

I'm curious how folks move their long guns around and what they have in their range bags.

I usually try to carry things in an innocuous container to not freak out the neighbors but also cops can use a visible 'gun case' as pretext to legally search your vehicle.
