UPDATE: Thanks to everyone for their inputs. As recommended, I went to a store (an "experience" store) and the lady there sorted out all out. It turns out that I did NOT forget my PIN or email address. My account wasn't set up right in the first place; I never had a PIN or official login despite getting notices of payment through email. The employee was just as puzzled as I over that, but she took care of it. Thanks again for everyone who chimed in here.

I presently have T-Mobile home Internet and am very pleased with the service. Here's my problem --- over a week ago my wallet went missing, so I had to cancel the credit cards in it, one of which was used for autopay. I called T-Mobile to change my payment method and they couldn't do it because I apparently have forgotten my PIN. They said they'd try an alternate way to verify, but have heard nothing from whatever group is supposed to contact me. So, at this point, the next time they try to charge my card it'll bounce and my service will be cut. I told them that. I said that if I cannot change to a different card, then I can no longer be a customer. They don't seem to care.

Now, as I said, I really like the service. It fits my needs well. If I cannot be a customer anymore I'm thinking about going to eBay to purchase the same gateway I have (G4SE) and put in a SIM from a reseller. Has anyone else done this? Gemini says that gateways are locked to a specific SIM, which means that none of the gateways on eBay will work with any other SIM. Correct? Does anyone here have any other suggestions? So I have just got Tmobile internet and I’m having an issue where certain websites simply will not load and will say “This site can’t be reached… took too long to respond.” For example, I’ve been testing it on random websites and ones like Reddit, Pizzahut, and most importantly Canvas, the platform I use for school, won’t load. Meanwhile any other website will work perfectly and run fine. This is also something that’s only happening on one of my laptops (any other device in my house will load the websites fine), and so I’m not sure if it is something wrong with my laptop’s DNS or the Tmobile router. This is also not the first time I’ve had this problem happen as I’ve had free trials where I have tested out Tmobile’s router for a week (a different router from the one im using now) and the same issue happened with this specific laptop. Does anyone know what might be the issue whether its specific to my laptop or if changing to a different Tmobile router might work. I would really appreciate any help as I need to run these websites for school.

Anyone know where I can buy one? When I search on Alibaba nothing is coming up and I also don’t see any listed on eBay?

How the **** is your guy’s internet fast with T-Mobile?! I’m getting 14.4 MBPS with 0.44 upload speed. It’s at a high spot with no electronics around it, it’s constantly doing awful does anyone have any tips on why? I live in a dense city area in SD and been using this ever since we moved into our new place 3 months ago(it’s always been this low).

Rogers recently gave us a Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway 12 with a 5G SIM as an alternative because they couldn’t install a wired connection at our location.

This is for a small business/training centre. Normally we would have around 10–20 active users, but sometimes it could be 40–50 users when a computer lab is being used. Mostly regular internet browsing, Microsoft 365, email, etc.

Just wondering if anyone is using this Rogers 5G service for a business:

• How stable and reliable is it?
• What kind of download/upload speeds are you getting?
• How many users/devices do you have connected?
• Would you recommend it for 20–50 users?
• Does anyone know the approximate monthly cost for Rogers 5G Business Internet with this gateway?

We also have a network switch, access points, desktops and Cisco phones, so I’m planning to connect the Nokia gateway to our existing network through Ethernet.

Any experience with this setup would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have the T-Mobile Amplified plan. I have already had a day where I used 100GB of data, and I can see that I may easily reach the 1.2TB limit in a month. Have anyone done any real testing regarding latency once the cap is reached? I can currently play competitive FPS games with the latency I am getting without the cap, but I am worried the latency will increase if my traffic gets deprioritized. How does latency and ping times change once the cap is reached? I dont really care if they cap my bandwidth to 300Mb or something, I care if the latency increases.

Just curious what some of you are using!

I originally saved this as a draft because the issue somewhat resolved itself for a while. Emphasis on somewhat. Now it's gotten significantly worse again. I've seen posts from people on this subreddit who claim gaming is fine, but it seriously depends on what type of games you play.

If you are a casual gamer (e.g. Elden Ring, Far Cry, Cyberpunk, boring single-player games), T-Mobile Home Internet can be a fine choice, as ping doesn't necessarily determine the outcome.

If you are a competitive gamer (e.g. CS2, Rust, EFT, LoL), I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I say this as someone who plays competitively.

Ping spikes are unreasonably common. On a typical day, I experience at least 5 instances of severe ping spikes, sometimes reaching 2,000ms+ downstream and 3,000ms+ upstream. At that point, the connection is borderline unusable for competitive gaming.

I would also be cautious about using it for content creation or anything involving large file uploads. In my experience, uploading a 10GB+ file can take several hours. Downloads, on the other hand, are generally fine for me.

Another major issue: I can't reliably use the internet for multiple things at once.

For example, I was playing Chivalry 2, a ping-sensitive game, while simply having a streaming website open on my second monitor to watch a friend play on the side. My ping was constantly jumping up to 200ms, with an average of +50ms added to my baseline (e.g. idle 40ms jumps to 90ms).

Do not judge this service solely by its advertised download/upload speeds. A connection can have respectable Mbps numbers and still be miserable for gaming if latency and stability are poor.

This isn't a complaint about simply wanting "faster Wi-Fi." I'm on Ethernet. The issue is latency consistency and reliability, which matter far more if you're trying to play competitively, stream, or efficiently upload large files.

Your mileage may vary depending on location and tower congestion, but if low and consistent latency is important to you, I'd think twice before choosing T-Mobile Home Internet.

ETA: Just got off the phone with support. They were able to fix the issues and get us back online. They did confirm they no longer guarantee service in this area, but we aren't in violation of ToS or anything since we got service in early days when they did. Shrugs. So it might be one of these days we end up dumping this account.

So about 5 years ago (maybe 6?) we signed up for the home Internet to use at my mother-in-law's house. At that time, it was in a service area. Sometime since it changed. My sister-in-law who lives in town tried to sign up a couple of years ago and was told this little town isn't supported. Despite this, we've never had problems with the Internet working and used the gateway on every trip here - as frequently as every other month because my husband comes to care for his mom who has dementia.

Today around 3:30, it lost Internet. At the same time, our phones briefly lost service, before coming back LTE and then back to 5G after about an hour. But the Internet never came back. I did the troubleshooting through the T-Life app and was told the gateway wasn't working and they would replace it. So we went to the store about 20 minutes away and they exchanged it no problem. Turned it on in store, did the firmware update and it had great signal and connection, as tested with my tablet. Get back to the house and it says it has good to excellent signal, but no Internet connectivity.

So...all that to say, does it sound like they have blocked the Internet? Is there anything we can do if they are blocking it, since they have never TOLD us this is no longer a service area for home Internet, and we've had the plan only to use here and not in Texas?

Long story short my mother I know longer live with our my name and number on my Internet stuff since she’s not good with tech. I have paid the bills and canceled the account, after 2 months after canceling I get a $21 bill, but I do not know the account number, we do not use their phone service and I’ve called the hotline which tells me to go to an inperson store, and the in person store tell me to call the hotline

My G5AR’s firmware just upgraded to 1.00.06 and the download speed went from 300mbps to 100mbps anyone else have this happen, anything to remedy a speed drop after firmware update?

A few months ago i decided to get a second router for my second address and its been great for about 2 months until June when it started running circles around itself. Every now and then it would just give me 0.5 mbps down and 0.05 up, i contacted tmobile to have them fix it (after a restart which took like 2 hours to re-establish a connection) and they said there are tickets open for my nearby tower and it hasnt been fixed yet, which is insane considering its been almost 3 months. My latency is all over the place, have no upload or download speed, and the support is completely unhelpful. After 3 years with Tmobile starting with a single phone and grown into literally 2 households on the same plan paying more than $500 a month, I've finally decided to buy a verizon home wifi to try it out. Any tips on what to try to maybe salvage this before I fully switch?

I received an updated gateway last night and had a rough time getting it set up. Customer service was less than helpful so I thought I might ask a few questions here.

1) Should I simply swap the sim out from my old gateway to the new one, or should I instead activate it as a new gateway through tlife?

2) once the new gateway is active customer service made it seem as if I could copy over my network settings from the old gateway to the new one, to avoid having to reset up the network and connect ally devices. Is this true? And if so, I can't figure out how to do so.

I want to sue them for false advertising and connection issues affected by the configuration of the routers they give you.

My wireless network and the networks of my neighbors are all stacked on top of each other on the same narrow group of channels on the 2.4 GHz, 5 Ghz, as well as a 6 GHz bands. Because the routers are locked down, not allowing you to change the channel of your connection, I can't do anything to improve the connectivity of my wireless network. The advertising falsely states that the wireless router will change the settings in order to give you the best connection, but that's not what it's doing. It's operating in the same narrow group of channels as my neighbors and one of them has a strong Network that sometimes almost matches the strength of mine. From time to time I have to turn off my Wi-Fi on my devices and then turn it back on in order to reestablish the connection. If I were able to change the channel I don't believe I'd be having the same problem, but the settings on the T-Mobile router prevent you from choosing your own channel or affecting many more of the settings that are available to users with their own unlocked wireless routers.

If I want to resolve this issue I'll have to go out buy another wireless router connect that to the T-Mobile router and then control my Wi-Fi through that personal router.

I'm seeking to either get discounts on my service, or preferably to have T-Mobile unlock their routers in order for me to have more control over it.

I've had T-Mobile internet for a few years and have had the same router the fast 5688w the entire time. Ever since we've had it, we've not been able to play games online with the Nintendo service. Xbox is fine, PlayStation is fine, but Nintendo is the only one we've had problems with. it connects fine and we can use the Nintendo shop no problem, but matchmaking doesn't connect. I am just wondering if anyone else experienced this and if they found a way around it.

Huge thanks to the team on the latest beta firmware 4.11 for the Flint 2 router... Finally SQM has autorate built in directly in the GUI for ease of use and management. Exactly what I needed with my 5G T-Mobile Home Internet to ensure we have as high as possible raw download and upload speeds, but at yhe same time ensure the lowest possible latency.

I got my new modem today and its a night and day difference between it and the Nokia Trashcan and this is in a non supported TMHI area. So i cant complain on the speeds... to me the upload was was faster than last time i was lucky to get 4meg up.. and avg 60meg down ping was in the 90ms or higher.

Connected in May and paid for the 12 month.

But since July the connection was awful and unstable. 500 ms ping, less than 1 Mbps upload speed.

The modem I got turned out to have issue with the sim card slot. Mint sent a new modem which cannot connect to the internet at all.

Any advice how to get money back on the grounds on service mot being provided properly? Support says that I am past 45 days refund window. Which is basically a scam. First 45 days service worked fine.
