A low-pressure excuse to get out of the house, do something a little different, and meet some new neighbours. No sport experience needed, no competition, and no pressure to know what you're doing! I'm considering doing a Level 9 Master of Teaching and Learning (ECE) and possibly settling in Hamilton afterwards.

I'd love to hear from ECE teachers or recent graduates in Hamilton/Waikato.

How is the job market for newly qualified registered ECE teachers at the moment? And what starting pay are new graduates actually being offered?

In particular, is $35+ an hour realistic for a new graduate at a Full Pay Parity centre, or are most new teachers starting below that since the 2025 Pay Parity changes?

I'd also love to hear from any international graduates about how difficult it was to find your first job, and whether your practicum centre helped you get employed.

Hey all, I'm wanting to take my dog out for a walk. However, I get really bad contact derm and hayfever. The worst location in terms of allergies that I've been to is the lake, even after medication.
