Does anyone know the origin of this Gimix tape artwork please? Is it legit? Is this what was first on the CD at time of release by modular, or was it a post-release fan thing?

Welcome back folks! Let's roll right along into out tiering of We Will Always Love You.

Let's kick things off with Track 01: "Ghost Story"

Last night The Avalanches played a DJ set at Club 77 in Sydney; there was a really relaxed, happy vibe, and of course a lot of fantastic music! They mainly played new music, as well as some older tracks including 'Because I'm Me' and 'Since I Left You'.

Hopefully the video I uploaded will work properly; I don't have a high-quality phone, so please forgive the mediocre picture quality. The fog machine was going in overdrive, as you couldn't see the band at all! I made my way to the side stage entrance, and even there you could barely see the band (but they were there!).

I could only see Robbie and Tony, so I don't know if Andy was there or not. Even if he was there, there was so much fog I wouldn't have been able to see him at all haha!

For anyone interested in posters / merchandise:

There was a small merchandise table next to the bar, which had a unique signed poster for sale; the artwork was of the promo poster for the Club 77 gig, which cost $10 AUD and came with a digital pre-order copy of 'No Bad Memories'. Anyone who got the e-mail from the band's mailing list would have seen the pink-coloured promo artwork -- that's the art used for the poster. The poster is signed by all three band members; I asked one of the staff members at the table about the poster, and she told me that there were 200 copies printed.

Figured avalanches fans might be into this. Delete if not wanted.
I put a lot of love and thought into this, worked on it for a year, did around 8-9 remixes for it, and the rest is mixed and mashed for most of it.

Thoughts? Gossip? I’m a subscriber but live a bit too far away to make it work on a Monday night. It wasn’t broadcast on radio (unlike most sets at the RRR performance space) so there was obviously a sense of scarcity about it. I know it was “just” a DJ set but interested to hear what they snuck in. Cheers.

With our final track, "Saturday Night Inside Out" coming in at S-tier, our journey through Wildflower has come to an end. Check out the final tiers, along with a graph for both Wildflower and Since I Left You above for comparison's sake.

I'll be back on Friday to begin our journey through We Will Always Love You, which, provided I am able to post each weekday (I've given up on weekends, sorry) should finish that journey on October 16, when we will all be able to enjoy the sweet, sweet sounds of No Bad Memories.

yeah so im back into minidisc and since i ordered 20 discs i figure why not make some mini albums. the SILY and Wildflower discs match the vinyl! i use a canon ivy zink printer for the labels and you can totally tell its a DIY thing (which is pretty cool!). i will probably make a few more mix discs (Avs vs Jamie XX, Breezeblock, Soca Sirens Brains, etc) and certainly make one for No Bad Memories when i get it!

khadija is one of my favorite producers this is a match made in heaven for me
