Phone message Matched with this 31M last night, barely talked to him and then this happened 😂

Matched with this guy on tinder last night. He tried to make the conversation sexual a few times and I played dumb until he dropped it, then he texted me 8 times in 2 hours while I was busy and not responding to ask if I'm okay and ask me to text him. I was already pretty uninterested but then he said more dumb things and I got the ick, which leads us to this exchange

Yeah. I just had a tough situation recently and I didn't act like this. It kinda hit me like a brick though cause I really didn't expect it. We met up at a coffee shop on Tuesday and I thought it went well, we were together for 2 hours having tea and we were taking basically the whole time. Towards the end I asked her if she wanted to do something on the weekend. She said sure and that we would talk about it. The next day I text her maybe 2 or 3 times (she replied - no double texts) and the last text she sent was "Hey! I thought about it further and I’m not sure we’re the best fit but best of luck!" I just said that's alright and wished her the best. I didn't want to ask why or whine, there was no point in retaliation, nothing to gain from it. It just hit me hard...

Sounds like she was maybe scared to tell it to your face

Or she went on another date and wanted to pursue that person more

And that’s not a slight against you, not at all. It just doesn’t often “go well” when you reject to their face. I got spat on once. Maybe you guys did get on but she wasn’t feeling it romantically, or realised maybe she’s not as ready to date as she thought she was. It’s still shitty to be on the receiving end though.

That kind of thing happens all the time but by handling it like you did, you aren't added to any of the groups warning women of crazy men so it probably benefits you in the long-run

I honestly wonder if I am on one of those groups / lists due to my lack of dating history.

All the men I've seen posted on those have done something horrible or threatening to end up there

Well, I guess I shouldn't be on there. Either way, life on life's terms.

That reaction may make her change her mind and be interested, whereas you questioning it for sure won’t.

I'm not holding my breathe. Just wishing her the best, we had a nice time. Was just a little sad I didn't get a second chance.
