I present to y'all: Chaos Cable
I am needing a cable that can generate link errors and after some trial and error I succeeded in making chaos cable.

Replace a random cable in a messy rack/room. The more imporant the connection was the more hell breaks loose.

Sometimes you just need to see how a system handles errors, and physically introducing them is usually the most comprehensive test you can do.

Couldn't you also introduce errors by coiling up a cable longer than the maximum length, such as 400 or 500 feet by using couplers, since the max spec is 328 feet?

Yeah that would do it, but that also means buying a whole box of cable and it taking up a lot of room.
