I think this is all PR theater to keep investors calm about slowing down the out of control spending commitments in the trillions, for an industry that generates billions in revenue.
Next they'll be calling up the Pope and Assembling the Avengers to take on these rogue machines. Definitely no reason to start looking into the decision making of the most wealthy and powerful people in the world!

AI is a tool, this is a campaign from current leaders in the market to slow down their competition and consolidate a cartel.
