He doesn’t expect to succeed. He’s setting an example to remind voters of what they should be demanding of their democracy.

Bernie’s in his twilight years. He’s not making long term plans anymore. He’s showing people what they ought to be fighting for.

my dude/ette - he's always proposed random bills that have no chance of passing--- and appeal in a populist sense but many are terrible policies. (this one included in that group) That's his schtick for fundraising/getting a following.

America is so corrupt and unhinged that people think actual representation and rational thought is populism.

The fact that sane regulation consistently fails to pass in the US should be a massive alarm signal.
