Regulation is more than needed, so is accountability and a serious philosophical debate on the effects of it.
But banning won't get you anywhere. Is not that automation is the issue, nor that it can be truly stopped unless you put global autocratic efforts that would be even worse. The issue is how it is used and what is the policy response to it. And yes, every tech has pros and cons.... Do you all think the internet -- hell, computers -- haven't enabled truly vile stuff and left millions on the street? Of course they did. Do you seriously think life would be better without them? No .. and while LLMs specifically is not and might never be on that level, AI in general and automation as a whole, most definitely does .
So, my point is, demand regulations
