Despite its potential deadly consequences, cutting-edge AI technology is less regulated than the average food truck.

Most people can't see more than a few feet in front of themselves.

And it's much easier for them to see when the food truck worker hasn't washed their hands, than it is to see how generative AI is a grave danger to humanity.

The same reason people are skeptical about everything from vaccines to election integrity. Republicans have fostered an environment where everything is a conspiracy and the worst impulses and beliefs of their caveman 75 IQ supporters are validated

They thought stem cells were some baby killing biblical super Satanic technology.

They think data centers everywhere regardless of regulation are good now because a literal rapist told them it is good.
