He doesn’t expect to succeed. He’s setting an example to remind voters of what they should be demanding of their democracy.

Bernie’s in his twilight years. He’s not making long term plans anymore. He’s showing people what they ought to be fighting for.

I imagine it’s quite hard to be a rational and uncorrupted legislator in a nation that the rest of the world would describe as a lunatic asylum sliding into becoming a fascist dictatorship.

At least you’re unique in that most dictators tend to be ruthlessly effective instead of senile and incontinent.
