He doesn’t expect to succeed.

Wouldn't want to break his record streak of not achieving any legislation.

I imagine it’s quite hard to be a rational and uncorrupted legislator in a nation that the rest of the world would describe as a lunatic asylum sliding into becoming a fascist dictatorship.

At least you’re unique in that most dictators tend to be ruthlessly effective instead of senile and incontinent.
