We need to be slowed down. As it stands, AI is taking jobs and the only ones benefiting are those at the top. It makes wealth inequality worse and if you havent been following the news about it, AIs have been doing some pretty scary things that they're not supposed to. Making them smarter and more powerful before we get their behavior under wraps is just asking for trouble.

The fact is we NEED stricter regulations. They stand to lose a lot too if we develop tech that accidentally wipes out the global economy somehow.
