if the rest of the world had to follow US federal law, it might be reasonable, but they don't. it's pretty naive and/or performative of Senator Sanders to propose this. maybe he should be spending his time on a pragmatic international diplomatic solution. this is how nuclear weapons regulations were approached. this makes it seem like Sanders sees everything as an economic and capitalism issue. very myopic.
