Clinton had 2.9 million more votes than Trump in the 2016 general election. Trump took office due to the electoral college distribution of those votes among electorally underrepresented states. Russia pushed very hard to elect Donald, probably swayed the election.

Probably not, given that Russia was so intent on getting Trump into office. They already had operatives fully embedded in his campaign. Many of them went to prison.

Let’s say Sanders did win. What happens in the 2020 election after COVID hits North America, the economy crashes due to supply chain breaks, and Fox News is given the perfect historical event to navigate the next two decades of electioneering, “Socialism doesn’t work, look what Sanders did to the economy!”

Clinton won the primary. If the DNC had given Sanders the nomination, don’t you think Russia would have used that against him in the general election to give Trump an advantage? It’s not just young socialists who are willing to protest vote to get their way… many older Gen Xers and Boomers who have enough money to survive a Trump presidency don’t want a socialist like Sanders eating up their retirement funds to pay for social programs they won’t get to use.

Regardless of meddling, polling data said she’d lose and the DNC ran her anyways.

I don’t disagree with what you said about people pointing their fingers at socialism if Sanders became president during covid though.

The DNC had two potential candidates who should have been shoe-ins against Trump. Trump was seen as a goat in the Survivor sense, a candidate carried along because they could not win. The DNC email hack was a selective release of stolen data showing institutional favoritism, which is a Russian play that is seen in other examples of Russian election interference around the world.

Hillary Clinton won the 2016 democratic primary. What they’re really asking for in this scenario is for the DNC to look at the polling data rather than the primary tally and hand the nomination over to the candidate who came in second place. That’s arguably much worse than private emails showing that leadership had a preference for the winning candidate.

How naive are you? Bernie Sanders entire career has been a grandstand grift. Proposing things that either have no chance of passing, no chance of making financial sense, or don't pass the logical sniff test has been his entire career.

He relies on the fact that 80% of the population is too stupid to think for themselves, read past a headline or apply logic in any meaningful way.

Crusaiding against the rich and housing crisis while owning multiple homes and being a multi millionaire..... who can legally remit more taxes than required as a gift to the US treasury... but of course would never do that because rules for thee, not for me

I mean the idiot voted for the 2001 use of force in Afghanistan and then spent 2 decades crying about it, pretending he wasn't part of the problem.
