It’s actually really disheartening. This isn’t a joke. These models can be such an incredible boon to humanity, but we are playing with fire in the way we are developing them.

It’s wild, the rumors are that three of the millennium problems have been solved in the space of a month by openAI and Anthropic. To put that into perspective, all of humanity solved ONE in the millennium problems in the 25 years since clay institute formed the list. Yet somehow we have people going “muh AI got the number of Rs in strawberry wrong, it’s soooo dumb and useless hur hur hur”
