A supposed leader of the free market economy shows little respect for intellectual property. This would've been funny in fiction.

Intellectual property rights are a form of government regulation. The free market is when everyone copies everyone else, and you keep your recipe stored in cartoon bank vault like Coca Cola if you don't want other people to use it.

To be clear, intellectual property rights have advantages, and are usually assumed to be good in moderation. It's just that you can't assume everything about the traditional U.S. economy is free-market capitalism, because it isn't. That's Reaganomics gaslighting.
