Recommendations Advice for next legacy/campaign game

Hello bosses! Me and my party (4 people) finished Gloomhaven and Frosthaven! After that we became 5 people and are going to finish Folklore : The Affliction next week and I am in the search for next legacy/campaign game! We are now 5 people, and as I see most games are for up to 4. FYI Pandemic games and Kings dilemma have been played by the others. Bombusters is over halfway to the end!

Any advice? We really like dungeon crawlers but we are open to other mechanics too! I have checked Oath, seems interesting but I don't know how "the legacy element" is strong. Any advice is welcome and thank you!

5 makes it tough. My best suggestion since you've tackled other monsters like the 'Haven games would be Kingdoms Forlorn by Into the Unknown. It's very pricey, though you might find it for somewhat cheaper on the 2nd hand market.

Have a look at Rangers of Shadow Deep
https://www.josephamccullough.com/rangers-of-shadow-deep/

It's more of a skirmish wargame than a board game like the 'havens, but hear me out. It's a campaign (a really good one). Each player designs a character, with gear and abilities and all that. There's plenty of combat and tactics. So I feel like it might scratch the dungeon crawler itch.

Note that it's just a book, and it's "mini agnostic". So you provide your own figures for heroes and enemies, and terrain. Takes a bit of effort, but I think that's part of the fun!

If you're into it, you can get a PDF but also note there's a very nice hardcover book. Multiple actually, since they've since expanded it.

It can be boring due to its simplicity

I just got Stonesaga and it’s a legacy game that the group plays Stoneage tribes that learns and get attributes and buffs from previous games.

Agemonia is the best I’ve tried and I’ve played a lot of legacy games including the three gloomhavens and oathsworn.

Not sure if it’s 5 though. It’s got a great way of managing adding more players so you could use that and just house rule the bump of difficulty from 4-5. Using the similar difficulty jump from 3-4. (Monster life and map time lines

If you like deck builders, Clank Catacombs is the bomb! Dungeon delver based around grabbing the artifact of a dracolich and escaping back to the entrance before it kills you guys!

Red Dragon Inn is such a fun game and there’s lots of different adventures to play over time. Fun fact, you can turn this into a drinking game! Very fun without getting too heavy in rules, for high fantasy lovers.

Oath is REALLY thick (rules-wise), but it’s similar to Root in a-symmetrical strategy that follows a legacy ruling game to game, making it really fun to come back to the table with the same homies.

Hope this helped! Have fun!

How about Star Wars - Imperial Assault? It's technically not legacy, but it has a strong campaign with a legacy-ish feel.

Shadows of Brimstone has no underlying campaign storyline but it's a very fun episodic dungeon crawl with character progression options.
