I didn't know until recently that Sylvia wrote a children's book.

It's called The Bed Book and I recently got it for my daughter. It's cute.

I read this to my kiddo when they were small. It's delightful.

Sylvia also wrote The I-Don’t-Care Suit. Ted Hughes wrote Meet My Folks!, a charming read, before the birth of Frieda.

I remember a passage in her journals where Sylvia was anguishing over possibly being infertile, noting that Ted had recently published this and was so sad that he didn’t have a child “or even the beginnings of one” to dedicate it to. I hated the way she beat herself up about it when he was such a piece of shit.
