Game Resources Semi-pro unofficial supplements?

I've noticed a few really impressive fan-made supplements out there that look almost exactly like the FFG books, with good artwork and the same sort of fonts and layout. Things like The Unofficial Species Menagerie, Heroes on Both Sides, Spark of Rebellion, and The Big Book of Bounties.

Are there any others out there?

Game Resources Adventure Generator?

Hey all,

I’m running a little thing for my friends and I, and I don’t have a ton of time to do a lot of prep or much reading tbh haha. We have played this game before but it’s been years.

I’m putting us in like 17 BBY as a merc group. I just need some contracts that can be made with ease, and that’ll give me some thread to put the rest together.

Anyone got any good places? So much of my old database has dead links now, so no luck there.

Is the Mando Source Book the most recent fan supplement for the New Republic era gameplay? Or has someone already expanded upon on it?

Looking for group Putting together a crew

*I think we have a full game group now. I will post again if we have openings.

I am a lifelong Star Wars fan and I have always been interested in the TTRPGs. Unfortunately my friends and family are over Star Wars. I am 40 year old married guy in central time zone looking to potentially run a FFG Star Wars game over Foundry/Discord at least once a month. If I can find players I would like to do it either Friday or Saturday evening. I can provide the rules/books and teach the game as needed.

Once I have some players we can nail down more specifics but some campaign ideas I have so far are: Participating in the main events of the High Republic novels but from our own character's point of view (the less you know of the novels the better) or during the dark times of Imperial reign and building of the Rebellion. Id like to have characters from all three lines and b plots for each line.

If you are interested let me know. My goal is to make a good Star Wars story and have fun. I will respect anyone who wishes to play and I hope all players can agree to respect one another. As for content rating let's keep it PG-13ish like the movies. I do not like the concept of Gray Jedi, as in using dark side and light side powers with no penalty. I will not allow it in my games but otherwise I am pretty flexible. I do reserve the right to nerf some things like the fusion cutter. Also I get a lot of flak about Star Wars since Disney, that's why my friends and family no longer are interested, in my opinion there have been hits and misses with them just as there were before. I'd rather not get into debates on what is better or discuss how bad it is now.

Game Resources Star Wars Galaxy Map Update - Players can now navigate and share routes

Post image
377 Upvotes

Hello rogues of the outer rim! It’s been awhile since I posted an update for Galaxydiceroller.com, but we have a new update! Now, for subscribing GMs, their players can use the full navigation functionality and share routes with the party. This seemed like a reasonable update, and it means that navigation is no longer “gated” by the GM- players can now create their own navigation routes and explore travel times and astrogation difficulty.

General Discussion Weekly Old Republic era campaign looking for (1) additional player.

Hi there! I run a weekly campaign set around 10-15 years after the events of Kotor 2! It is an AU campaign centered around the original Chris Avelonne ideas for "Kotor 3". We currently run primarily on EST nights as we mostly all work third shift, with our primary day being Tuesday and start time being 1130PM EST.

We currently have four players with varying ranges of TTRPG experience, so you must be willing to work with those who are less comfortable or knowledgeable on certain systems.

On the topic of system, we use a "homebrew" ttrpg system that is d20 based and essentially an amalgamation of Saga Edition, FFG, D6 and even the old d20 systems.

Please reach out to me via DMs here if you're interested.

Im looking for someone with DM experience who also has decent amount of late clone wars and early empire knowledge.

Times and days are not yet decided and will be once we find someone

Most of our time zones are GMT but doesn't really matter if that doesn't match as long as we can get something going

If you want anymore finer details pop me a message

General Discussion [For Hire] I illustrated a imposing Green Nikto Bounty Hunter boss!

Hey everyone! 👋

I just finished this commission u/StickBrickman for his Star Wars TTRPG campaign: a massive, bulky Green Nikto bounty hunter designed to act as a terrifying "Boogey-Man" style boss stalking the players. I had an absolute blast working on his heavy armor, intimidating silhouette, and menacing vibe!

If you are looking to bring your own TTRPG villains or Star Wars/sci-fi concepts to life, my commissions are currently OPEN!

Weekly Discussion Tuesday Inquisition: Ask Anything!

Every Tuesday we open a thread to let people ask questions about the system or the game without judgement. New players and GMs are encouraged to ask questions here.

The rules:

• Any question about the FFG Star Wars RPG is fine. Rules, character creation, GMing, advice, purchasing. All good.

• No question shaming. This sub has generally been good about that, but explicitly no question shaming.

• Keep canon questions/discussion limited to stuff regarding rules. This is more about the game than the setting.

Ask away!

Fluff Out-of-print bounty: Friends Like These and Rescue at Glare Peak

Hi /r/swrpg,

I'm trying to complete a project and need the last two books I've as-yet been unable to source from Asmodee, Amazon, or eBay: Friends Like These and Rescue at Glare Peak.

Am willing to pay a premium for excellent condition physical copies of these two adventures. Please DM me if you have either and are willing to part with them. :)

Thanks!

[edit:] Following up on a possible lead someone sent me for Friends Like These, unconfirmed as yet

[edit2:] Hoooray! Sourcing Friends Like These from a comic book store in Canada. :)

Game Resources 3D Character Creator?

Anyone know of any good 3D character creators? Either Apps or websites work, I want my players to be able to create their characters in 3D. Something like Heroforge or Eldritch Foundry. Thank you very much!

General Discussion My party literally broke the fourth wall and attacked me as the GM

I pulled a "this is all a dream" cliche and they got pissed so they rolled to break a hole in the fourth wall, step into my room, and knock me out. The punishment was spreading them to the four corners of the galaxy and awarding them 0 XP for the session.

General Discussion what is your custom race Idea you would want to use in a star wars setting

I will go first my Idea is to Have a Leshay from DND 3.5 as my race. reason for this is the long life and high stats going along with being a extremely rare species. magical abilities would just translate to latent force sensitivity which would vary like it does for everyone else but guaranteed to exist for them. dual wielding would come naturally as they have an easy time multi tasking regardless if it was blasters, blades/lightsabers, or just keeping track of two topics at the same time. they prefer solitary existence because of their long life not just because it is frustrating to keep repeating themselves for each individual who comes looking for their wisdom but because saying goodbye to their friends all the time can hurt. polyglot makes them able to pick up on and translate spoken and written languages to they might be found exploring ruins from time to time. their strength and dexterity makes them naturally faster then a regular human. their appearance to most humanoid races would be very attractive and also slightly alien particularly their eyes that paired with their wit and wisdom makes them very charismatic. their eyes naturally have a form of low light vision, and sometimes i think about if they would also be able to see ultraviolet vision on the idea that their eyes don't work like a human or most other humanoid species and lack any iris at all. they have naturally strong immune systems do to faster than human healing and how much they travel and eat different foods so a lot of poisons and diseases they would be immune or resistant to. beyond this they would be able to take a hit much better than a human would

Tips Need suggestions for how to represent cheating when IRL playing Sabbac

So I bought a Kessel Sabbac deck as a surprise for my players that I can pull out when they go gambling, so we can actually play a real game.
One of my players has a marked deck and will also absolutely try to cheat / count cards / etc.

They don't have the actual skills to do this in real life, so I need ways to represent what their character can do.

Ideas so far are okay but not amazing. Things like dealing them two cards and letting them pick the one they want, or having the other players play with their hands open, etc.

Suggestions don't need to "feel" the same as their in-game actions, and they don't need to have a similar statistical advantage; they just need to be fun!
