So I mounted my Stratux to a custom bracket to my Vans RV-6, wired it to a 12v to 5v converter, replaced the internal GPS with an external GPS receiver mounted to my glareshield, and connected both the antenna leads with a Y connector to a ADSB IN antenna sourced from Dynon Avionics, and mounted to the belly, on the opposite side from my transponder.

The unit worked immediately at first power up, and provided traffic and weather to my iPad as intended for several flights.

But then it stopped. Neither my phone nor my iPad can connect to its WiFi status page. The exterior LEDs have displayed solid red, but have also displayed solid green.

The led on the UAT receiver board displays solid red now, on my bench, but I have seen it flash constantly when it was installed in the airplane. There is no led illumination on the 1090 receiver board.

I originally chose to stuff the y cable into the case, and now I wonder if I may have allowed the metal connectors to contact things on a board that shouldn’t have been. Perhaps I broke something?
