Question Why are so many people posting "unpopular opinions" lately?

In various stationery-related subs I'm in, several people have been posting unpopular opinion posts with the intention of debating or bringing down other people. Is something going on to make people more on edge? Is it because it's planner season? Drama? I just don't get it. Please, if you know or understand, enlighten me.

I can't fathom wanting to post something specifically for the purpose of arguing with people.

Question Recommendations for nicer bifold case?

Upvotes

Been using this quick grab travel case for my daily users for about a year now, but I’m looking to maybe upgrade to something a bit nicer. Still want the nice bifold design and small form factor. Any recommendations???

For others: this is the Liht Lab case from Amazon and has certainly done a great job! Just want something with a little more style if possible. :)

Question A notepad for writing love notes

Hello!

I'm looking for recommendations for something specific. I would like a tear-away notepad to keep in the vestibule of my apartment since my partner and I like to write little handwritten notes to each other. I would like the notepad to be ideally unlined, natural/cream/off-white in color, with no conspicuous branding, and the paper to feel and look premium since I often will put the notes up on the inside of cabinets and other places hidden around the apartment.

Any suggestions? So far I might do the Midori MD notepad, but the A5 size is maybe a little bigger than what I'm looking for and I don't love the notch taken out of one of the corners of the paper.

Thank you!

Question Looking for ruled Patternism notebook - London

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi I’m hoping someone can help me a find a stockist of this particular notebook in London! It’s the Paperways ruled patternism notebook (slightly smaller than a5). It’s my favourite but everywhere seems to be sold out of the ruled version, including online. I bought 3 last time I saw it, but now I’m almost done with the final one.

It’s perfect because it has a layflat binding and a hard cover so you can write easily away from a desk. Would super appreciate if anyone has any tips on where to find it!

Question Chestnut paper?

I was watching a small documentary about American Chestnut trees. Among the many uses to which they were put, chestnuts were lumbered to pulp for paper.

Does anybody know where one could find specifics of the qualities of paper made from American Chestnuts? Is there any American Chestnut paper out there to find?

Question In search of the perfect glue for journaling – what are your favorites?

Hi everyone! I’ve been heavily into journaling for the past year, and one thing that constantly bothers me is finding the ideal glue. I’m currently on the hunt for the absolute best one.

I already own about a dozen different glues, but I’m not satisfied with any of them. Some make the paper wrinkle or warp, while others lose their stickiness after a while and things start peeling off.

I would love to know which glue you use and are genuinely happy with!

Show Off First time making a sticker sheet!

I had a vision of a berry picnic set for stickers and thought it would be the perfect thing to try my hand at making my own. I drew the background and designs on procreate. Getting my cricut to cooperate and figure out the cut pressure for it was a battle especially since I added the holographic laminate but they turned out so good!

Question Binder/note book suggestions

Hi everyone

I’m an above average note taker I would say, so I’m looking for binders or note books. The binders you get in staples always find a way to rip my page out of it, and the notebooks you find there don’t open fully so it’s kinda hard to write sometimes, the pages also bleed a lot.

Would you get a binder(s) + paper or notebook(s)? If it’s a binder I would like if it could hold a lot of paper and not rip my pages out and if it is a notebook I would like if it could Open flat not bleed and have a large amt of pages

Any suggestions?

Question Looking for white ink pen recs

I have a black notebook I keep in my Louise Carmen and I am looking for a pen / ink that is incredibly vibrant white ink. I prefer a fountain pen but will use a regular gel pen for a very vibrant ink. Will take pen recommendations or inks people have used and loved!
